The Herondale Hotel

8/10 Good

"The bamboo "rug" under the bed was very rough and somewhat painful under foot. No extra towels in the bathroom. A comfortable chair to sit on in the room would be nice along with somewhere to put a second suitcase. The room overall was very nicely done with pleasing color scheme and gorgeous views. The tiny pictures on the wall looked out of place in such large spaces."

"This was our second stay, and it was every bit as wonderful as the first! Checking in was a breeze and the hosts were friendly and, once again, seemed to have thought of everything that we might need. The house and property were clean, very comfortable and fully stocked for fun and relaxing times. The location itself is quiet and peaceful, and the front yard and deck are situated to take full advantage of the views of the river."

"The shower in the pool area was not working when we were there. We told staff. The room was fabulous, the staff was super helpful and accommodating. Loved our room. Everything was clean and well kept. Definitely will be coming back again. The breakfasts were good. Really appricated the towels at the pool. That made things easier. Hot tub was great."

"Aug 1-14, 2026 This home was a real joy to us ! The 3 most important things were the quiet, the solitude and the peacefulness that this brought us ! The house is modern with modern appliances in the kitchen which is fully equipped for cooking meals in. The beds were great ( our backs never hurt ) ! Also plenty of good lighting throughout the whole house. The area is surrounded with American history and you are also only 1 hour from historic Astoria. Our hosts were the greatest, the best we have ever had over the years. We really loved it here and plan to return if we can !!"
