“Allison was very quick at responding if anything popped up during our stay. She was efficient and effective with her communication. The pond was AMAZING and our dog Raven had an absolute blast! Thank you for allowing your space to host dogs as well so we could have this great weekend with our family!”

“Very cozy and clean. The beds are very comfortable, there were plenty of spare linens and towels, a large variety of kitchen items and everything functioned properly. It’s only a minute or two drive to the lake.”

“We were there to attend a wedding so weren’t there much. We did observe there was trash left on the deck and lower deck could have used a good sweeping and cob webs removed. Pillows could also be upgraded. Might want to work on front screen door. Very, very squeaky coming in and out. Over all it met the needs we required for our stay. Thanks for being quick to return our calls”

“Very nice property. Cabin was clean and cozy. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Had all the amenities needed to enjoy the time spent. Would definitely come back.”

“We love staying here after sightseeing around Shawnee!”

“Nice place. We cooked meals inside on the stove but also over a fire at the fire pit. There is a small creek behind the cabin that runs when it rains out. That was pretty cool. No nearby light pollution so the sky is really dark at night and you can see a lot of stars. Overall a great experience. Two wineries close by. It's on the wine trail. Close to everything in Southern Illinois. We went to all the state parks.”

“We enjoyed our stay here very much. Beds are extra comfy and there was everything you could need. We wished it had lake access since we stayed during a brutal heat wave but no big deal.”

“The cabin was great! A few little extras for a welcome package. Did not skimp on the towels and bedding. Great decor. Loved it!!!”

“The home was just as described. The outside grounds including the dock, kayaks, paddle board were enjoyed by all 9 of us, ages from 13 to 49. Great location on the lake with privacy. The home was clean and well maintained. Gerald communicated well and was available if we needed him. The air conditioning kept the home cool when we stayed and it was a hotter than average Illinois July when we stayed. We rented a boat and was able to keep it in the boat slip on the property. Great place to stay……

“This fit our needs perfectly we needed to be located near town and found ourselves right in the heart of Marion . The convenience and price were excellent. Way more comfortable than a hotel and the price was on point. Thanks for having us.”
