The hotel is very good. The buffet food was excellent, the pool is large, and the bar offers great service. The staff is very helpful, and the nightly shows were very enjoyable as well. My only complaint is about the credits that Expedia offers to VIP clients. It would be great if the gift shop were included, because in the other places where you can use the credit, you have to spend a certain amount to receive a discount, and there is a specific minimum required to apply it.

It's not perfect, but it's pretty good. The hotel grounds are small, so there's limited space to walk around, but it's not tiny either. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. My room had been updated, but they painted it so thoroughly that the TV was covered in white spots. I had a standard or economy room (not a privillidge room), so the cleaning wasn't thorough enough. The bed was made every day, but the linens were never changed. The minibar was changed daily, and there were plenty of bath towels, but the same foot towel might remain for three days. Empty plates were cleared during the meal only if the waiter showed interest. If the waiter understood there would be no tip, the empty plates were left on the table until you left, but that's purely subjective, as there were waiters who were simply doing their job. Kudos to them. The pools are excellent. The hotel's main problem is the lack of umbrellas on the beach. Although it was possible to find a shady spot by the pool at 7 or 8 AM, by 6 AM or earlier, the shaded spots were already reserved. The "no reservations" policy didn't work. Most reserved spots remained empty for half a day, unused and unassigned. The most conscientious employees, in my opinion, were those who didn't expect tips in advance—those who mowed the lawn, put away the lounge chairs and swept. The food in the restaurants was varied, delicious, and mouth-watering. I'm not sure I'd want to return, but I'd give this place a solid 4+ stars.

I loved everything about Ocean Sand &Blue especially my friends Willie and Antonio at the swim up bar! From the time I checked in until the time they cut my band off my arm they were courteous and kind! I’ve stayed at ocean coral in Jamaica and in Mexico and they have yet to let me down!!!

Omg, Ocean blue and sand surprised me with everything, first I thought it's just a decent hotel, but I was so wrong, it was amazing. It's older hotel but well maintained. I loved the food, the buffet and the restaurants had lots of options, I loved their grouper fish. Mexican restaurant was great. This resort is also special because of the beach, the water was so blue, and the sand was real white. The thing that could be improved: 1. Add more umbrellas at the beach and the pool. 2. Add LED lights mirrors in the rooms. 3. Provide slippers and robes to every room, not only privileged rooms. The stuff was always helpful and responsive, we called for water and they brought it quickly, we called to check the water pressure in the shower and they also fixed it quickly. Also the entertainment is outstanding at this resort, it was the best white party at the beach ever, and I have been to multiple different resorts. Also big plus, there was a bowling alley on the resort, which was free, usually other resorts charge additional for games. I really enjoyed the buffet at the beach. There was one pink flamingo by the main buffet, lots of fish in the pond, beautiful nature. We actually had a battler from Expedia, but he never delivered the free bottle of spirits, and Expedia vouchers could be only redeemed for romantic dinner or spa. Other than that I definitely would come back to this resort.

This was our first time visiting Punta Cana and the Ocean Blue resort and it was a wonderful experience. The room was very nice, the bed was very comfortable, and the resort has plenty of amenities and activities to keep you busy all day. But the best part of the experience were the people. Staff at Ocean Blue are very friendly and work very hard to provide a great experience for all guests. Although the resort was completely booked, staff still remember faces and make you feel seen and welcome.

After my wife got over her fear of cats, we had an enjoyable time. The coffee shop started our mornings off with an amazingly friendly staff member that was awesome. The Michael Jackson show was 8.5 out of 10. Really impressed!

The resort is clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and it has a lot of amenities. The food was pretty decent with lots of variety but if you weren't in the Priveledge section it was difficult to get reservations at the a la carte restaurants.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay at Ocean Blue & Sand Beach Resort. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive! they really made the experience feel special. The food exceeded our expectations, with plenty of variety and consistently great quality. We especially loved spending time at the beach, which was absolutely beautiful and quickly became our favorite spot to relax. Overall, it was a fantastic trip, and we’d definitely come back again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun and relaxing getaway!

The resort was good, had a lot of fun spent 5 nights. The food was good, the resort is big and the beach was close. I would go back it was very nice for me and my wife on her birthday. Only negative thing i would say is that we were not aware that there was a “privilege” part where they get special treatment such as top shelf liquor. That kind of threw us off because had that been known before we would’ve thought more about it. Also the gym was being reconstructed the whole time of my stay so I couldn’t workout which kind of hurt a little. Overall, it was a fun time and a memory we’ll never forget
