While the staff at this hotel were individually wonderful, our stay was only manageable because my girlfriend speaks Haitian Creole. Without her ability to communicate directly with the team, our many issues likely wouldn’t have been addressed. Unfortunately, the hotel failed to provide the experience I actually paid for on Expedia. ​Upon arrival, our first room was completely uncleaned; it looked as though the previous guests had just walked out. After a long wait to be moved, I was denied the private balcony I specifically booked and paid for. We were eventually placed in a first-floor unit that lacked the advertised balcony entirely. To make matters worse, the AC was highly inconsistent, and because the room wasn't properly sealed, we dealt with lizards inside and were bitten by mosquitoes throughout the night. ​The final straw was the door's electronic lock system, which failed completely. We weren’t even given a key card because the technology was broken; we had to be manually let into our own room by the front desk every single time we returned. This was a massive inconvenience and a clear security concern. Because I spent a large portion of my trip dealing with three different room changes and never received the room category I contracted for, I am seeking a 50% refund for this stay

The room was clean but they will come clean the rooms late. You can leave in the morning for breakfast and to the beach and you come around 4 pm room still has not been cleaned even if you left the clean up sign in the door.

Staff was nice regardless of language barrier and did their best to communicate. Clean rooms and nice pool. The AC worked beautifully. The TV however was in Spanish? And hard to navigate with only apps that you can’t use. Breakfast every morning was fresh and delicious lots of choices

No hot water, broken safe, no clothes hangers in the closet. We reported the problems to reception, but no one fixed anything for two days. Breakfast was monotonous; when you arrive around nine, half the food is gone and no one replenishes it.

The room was in ok condition, but there was only warm water for a shower which was hard to turn on, I had to have help. The internet ran the TV and since internet was very poor, TV show on YOUTUBE was poor. I didn't care for the pillows. It was quiet back there thank goodness. I never did figure out how to get to the beach the correct way. Not much English speaking.

Ok, the overall stay was great, but there were a couple bumps in the road. The staff was very nice and welcoming. I really appreciated that and were patient with me considering I don't speak Spanish. The room was ok, for what I paid. Now I will mention I appreciated the breakfast every morning (its the same everyday). Stray cats were everywhere, lol but were cool. The room was not that big, and a bit outdated. I didn't have any real issues until I found out the water does not get hot, at all. That hurt, but I made due. Now there was also a random sewage like smell that came and went in the bathroom from time to time (I was there a week). I was glad they had AC, but I couldn't make the room warm, wasn't sure why there was no heat, but I guess because of the location, but I get cold easily. Would I stay here again? No, but its not really due to anything other than the hot water. Other than that, its a great place for the price. So don't be expecting the Ritz-Carlton experience, but this is a great place and the location is good as well. Lots of places to eat on the strip and the people were very nice to me and made me feel seen and safe. I was walking all around the city, at weird times, and I never felt threatened, just enjoyed the city. I got a free buggy ride to the beach, as well as a shot glass gift from a seller. But the people that work there made it feel better!

It was last minute where our flight was cancelled staff was friendly and tried. No English, but we made it work, restaurant was open late, so we got a great meal!!
