Villa Pura Vida is located about 3km below the center of Puntagorda in a secluded location surrounded by unspoiled nature. The villa is easily accessible via a normal tar and piste road. A rental car is essential. Shops and restaurants can be found in the tranquil village of Puntagorda.
Puntagorda in the northwest of the island has various small shops, a pharmacy, a butcher, banks with ATMs, a post office, restaurants, typical bars, a German cafe with delicious cakes and a public swimming pool. In late January or early February, Puntagorda celebrates its popular almond blossom festival and the entire northwest shines in delicate pink and white. In El Puerto you have access to the sea. There is no beach, but in the summer months you can swim in the sea. In winter this is too dangerous because of the currents.
Puntagorda is ideal for exploring the north of La Palma and the highest point of the island, the Roque de los Muchachos. In about 45 minutes you are in Los Llanos with the famous Plaza de España and the beautiful Canarian streets and houses. The sandy beach of Tazacorte is just over 30 minutes away.
