“This is a new property in Kastraki, which is a 15 min walk or 5 euro taxi ride from the town of Kalambaka. Kastraki is a small, quaint village at the foot of the monasteries in Meteora. There is a lovely family run restaurant just at the end of the road, and a bakery across the street. The rooms themselves are well designed, modern and comfortable. For a fee, ask about late check out. It’s very much worth it given the transportation options out of Kalambaka. I’d definitely come back again!”

“This home is exactly as pictured. It is charming and check-in was a breeze. The location was great. Very close to the hiking/walking path to start out hiking trek to the monasteries. This home is well lit up, at night and easy to find. We hope to return someday and I'll definitely try to stay at The Rock and Stone home, again!”

The house indeed had a majestic view, with even an attached sun room/lounge near the entrance where we could sit and watch the sun rise over the rock formations. We took advantage of the back patio. Bed was firm and very comfy! The location was great because it was away from the noise of the tourists and traffic of Kalabaka. But it was only blocks away.
