The bungalows are a bit rustic, which o loved. My bungalow was very clean, the bed and pillows are comfortable, the bathroom is spacious and has a great shower. The AC works well. There’s an area by the sink to hang clothes. The refrigerator is spacious. The desk was perfect for me to set up my laptop. I needed to borrow an adapter from the front desk, which was no problem. Overall it was a great stay and I would stay there again.

The resort is lovely, especially the outdoor seating outside our room. We enjoyed the pool area with the large lounger beds, which has fans installed to keep you cool! The breakfast is held at the nearly sister hotel (2mins walk) and there is a good selection of food, they even made fresh vegetarian options for me which weren’t on the menu! The staff at the hotel are incredible! My friend has pulled a ligament in her ankle and every single day they would ensure she had ice available for the swelling, provided a bucket for when she had to rest it in warm water, and even ordered supplies from the closest Pharmacy. For the first couple days we did have an issue with the lack of hot water from the shower and there was a strange sewage smell coming from the bathroom, but the hotel did well at addressing these and the communication was 10/10.

This was an absolutely delightful experience.Christoph, Sebastian (owners), Cristina & Alex(top staff)were delightful hosts, and provided a spectacular experience The accommodations, food, and tour arrangements showed a great level care and attention.I WIL BE back to the Tranquilo Lodge!!!

Die Lage vom Hotel ist perfekt. Sowohl Nationalpark als auch der Strand sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Die Anlage ist sehr schön. Ein großer Pool mit Sonnenbetten ist auch vorhanden. Hier waren wir meist ganz für uns allein. Wir hatten zu dritt ein ausreichend großes Zimmer. Etwas mehr Ablagefläche wäre schön gewesen, sowie ein paar Haken zum aufhängen. Es war alles sehr sauber. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück gibt’s im benachbarten Schwesternhotel. Das Buffet war klein, aber man konnte sich noch jeden Tag a la carte ein Frühstück dazu aussuchen. Alles war sehr lecker und es waren großzügige Portionen. Wir würden hier jederzeit wieder unseren Urlaub verbringen.

La ubicación mejor imposible. A un paso de la playa y del parque Manuel Antonio. Muy tranquilo, limpio y agradable piscina. El desayuno es en el Playa Espadilla pero está cruzando la calle. Una estancia perfecta. Muy agusto.

This hotel is incredible! It is two properties that are within steps of each other. The pools at both are incredible and have large cabanas with fans. The bar area is so nice, we ended up here most evenings. The food at the restaurant is incredible! You get a menu for breakfast, along with some food and drinks put out as a buffet. The breakfast options are incredible, and some of the best food we ate on the trip. Our room was cleaned promptly every day and was left with a towel animal we looked forward to. The staff is super friendly and helpful, as we stopped in multiple times to ask questions. In my opinion, you could not have a better location! You are steps to the beach and the national park. Anywhere else in Manuel Antonio would definitely require a car, but we got everything we wanted right outside the hotel! We are so excited to return!

Amazing staff and perfect location with a short 2 minute walk thru some palm trees to the beach! Will definitely be recommending this place to friends - had to rank the breakfast 4 stars because there were ants crawling on the fruit at the buffet. BUT....it's Costa Rica so....

This property was stunning, our room overlooking the pool was amazing. Lots of wildlife on property, bed was comfy, nesspresso machine in our room was a lovely touch. 5 min walk to beach or Manuel Antonio park. Lots of restaurants to walk to. Clean beach towels were provided each day as well. The front desk also helped with organizing our excursions and we were picked up on property. The restaurants breakfast was delicious and huge and staff were friendly and prompt. Cons: don’t order their pizza.. seemed like it was a frozen grocery store pizza but kids would like it!! We will be staying there again if we go back!

バスルームの扉の建て付けが悪く、夜11時くらいにドアが中から鍵がかかってしまい開かなくなってしまった。フロントスタッフは既にいなかったので警備の人に言ったところ、朝、フロントのスタッフが出社するまで待ってくれと言われた。夜にトイレに行きたくなった時はヴィラの前にあるプールのトイレを使ってと言われた。夜中にトイレに行きたくなり、プールまで行くことになった。よくあることみたいだったので、警備室に鍵くらい置いといて欲しかった。

Staff was super helpful with restaurant recs, arranging park guides, and spa treatments at another hotel. Room was very clean, facilities well kept and the atmosphere around the pool/bar/restaurant very peaceful and beautiful! The location is great because it’s at a dead end in the road so it’s quieter than other properties in the area.

Hotel Playa Espadilla y Gardens has a lot going for it. The rooms are okay—nothing fancy—but each one has its own outdoor seating area, which is a really nice touch and makes it easy to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The property itself is beautiful and spacious, with a sister property right next door that adds to the overall appeal. The food was very good, and the hotel’s location is hard to beat—right between Manuel Antonio National Park and the beach, both within easy walking distance. Wildlife sightings around the hotel made the stay extra special. We saw monkeys multiple times right from the grounds, and while I didn’t spot toucans inside the national park, I was lucky enough to see two toucans land on a tree at the hotel itself. That moment alone made the stay worth it. Overall, a solid choice if you want convenience, good food, and the chance to enjoy Costa Rica’s nature and wildlife right from your hotel.

We had an above and beyond exceptional time at this property! It’s walking distance to the beach literally just takes three minutes… lots of great restaurants right by the hotel if you choose to not eat at the hotels restaurant… local vendor selling unique souvenirs discount prices, walking distance to the park Manuel Antonio national park… the Hotel staff was some of the kindest and most accommodating professional people that we’ve ever encountered… the room was clean and efficient and literally had everything we needed… they have cute cabanas by the pool where you can relax. The pool is amazing!!! we didn’t see any animals on the Hotel property, but we did see a ton of them at the national park nearby and honestly, we should’ve just stayed longer at this hotel because everything was so wonderful there. There’s literally no other hotel that anyone should ever stay at because this one’s so close to the beach and such a perfect location and everything you could want. I don’t care how much money you have. This hotel is amazing. But I will warn you that the eggs Benedict were terrible…. The pancakes are whole-grain, banana pancakes, and they’re the best things I’ve ever eaten…. At least it felt that way while I was eating them… and possibly everything else on the breakfast menu is good. The problem is is that they put some kind of fruit juice in the hollandaise sauce on their eggs Benedict and I guess they wanted to make it tropical but it just didn’t work. Still 100 stars.
