Signed rental agreement (names/ages included) + photo ID required within 24 hours. Primary renter must be 25+. No unregistered guests.

$500 Security Deposit Hold + $37 admin fee. Quiet hours: 8 PM–6 AM.

Guests must lock doors & windows when leaving the villa.

Costa Rica may experience temporary power outages during storms—flashlights provided. No refunds for acts of nature.

Bedrooms have AC only—doors must remain closed; AC should not run in unoccupied rooms.

Third-party travel insurance required for cancellations outside our policy.

No pets, smoking, loud music, commercial photography, parties, or events.

Check in time is 3PM and check out time is 10AM.

Guest verification through Truvi is required prior to arrival.

This house had everything we were looking for and more. The wildlife around the property was probably better than anywhere in the area. The pool was great, layout of the home was ideal for Costa Rica living, and the maid service was incredibly helpful. Centrally located a couple minutes from everything in Manuel Antonio. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Absolutely loved this home and the area. We travelled with 4 kids aged 3-10 and they all loved the property as well.

It was so nice being able to have everything coordinated for the house. The chef was absolutely amazing. We had him come every morning to make breakfast and he would make different things every day and always asked our input. We ended up doing two dinners with him and they both were absolutely amazing! It was so convenient to have the maid do our laundry every day. It was very relaxing to not have to worry about cleaning or cooking. Do coordinate shower times if you have a large group. The water pressure can be impacted if numerous people shower around same time. We loved that monkeys came up to visit once a day. There were iguanas and birds galore. Magical experience

I hope to stay here again. Property is exactly as advertised. The house was cleaned each day, which included laundry! The optional chef services were phenomenal. They are worth every penny. Everyone was more than accommodating and extremely friendly.

Jungle home

My friends and i had an absolute amazing time at the jungle house in manuel antonio. We were greeted by Wai who carried all of our luggage upstairs and gave us a tour of the home, explaining everything we needed to know. The house is gorgeous, exactly like the pictures. The views were outstanding, we even had a show put on by the capichin monkeys right outside of our porch. We hired a chef for dinner and i cant begin to tell you how delicious our meal was. The 1 and only downfall, but it really doesnt even matter was the driveway to the house. It is extremely steep and a bit scary to turn around on. Overall, we give the jungle home a 10/10 & will definitely look in to staying here in the future.

Loved Our Stay – Gorgeous Home, Great Pool, and Amazing Service

We had a fantastic stay at this property! The house was beautiful, very well maintained, and the pool was a huge hit with our group. One of the highlights was Renzo, the private chef—highly recommend booking him for your stay. The daily cleaning service was excellent, and they even washed and folded laundry every day, which was such a nice bonus.We also got to enjoy some wildlife sightings from the house, though they weren’t daily—still a fun part of the experience.A couple of things to be aware of, especially for families with young kids: the layout has the two master suites upstairs and the other two bedrooms downstairs, which means kids might be sleeping closer to the pool area with direct access. Also, the listing mentions two king suites, but one of the upstairs bedrooms now has a full-size bed, not a king.The house is about 15 minutes from the beach, which worked fine for us.Overall, we had a great experience and would absolutely recommend the property!

Great place up in the hills above Manuel Antonio. Plenty of room for a large group with a very private feel (just one house adjacent, but didn’t see anyone) Pool was nice to relax in after a long day out and about. The concierge (Susan) was very responsive with any of our needs. Daily visits from the wildlife of Manuel Antonio… Monkeys, iguanas, geckos, tree frogs and numerous birds including Toucans. The hills are steep getting there, but well worth the road adventures.

Amazing stay with family

Casa Tranquilidad was amazingly beautiful. There was so much wildlife and we felt so secure! Our check in process was fairly easy, and Susan was very attentive and helpful throughout our stay. We were quite surprised that the housekeeper made our beds and washed our clothes every day (we got so spoiled)! We splurged for Chef Renzo on our first night there and we were all delighted by their skills, as well as their kindness. They even got the kids to clean their plates! The pool was amazing, and we loved sitting out and watching for wildlife. We saw scarlet macaws flying by each day. Getting to the location was a bit nerve racking, as the roads are narrow, and the driveway is on a steep hill. It took some getting used to, but we managed! Of the three places we stayed during our trip, we felt the most taken care of at Casa Tranquilidad. I would recommend this spot to any of my friends and family.

What a vacation! We could not have been more pleasantly surprised with the hospitality and with this property. We went to Costa Rica, hoping for the jungle experience, and the Jungle Home delivered in every way possible. While out swimming, we would have Capuchin monkeys, squirrel monkeys, macaws and toucans, and of course, plenty of iguanas and geckos all right in the backyard throughout the week. It was magical! Our housekeeper, Andrea, was an angel and did a wonderful job keeping our home clean and helping us with laundry, etc…. We couldn’t ask any more of a vacation home rental. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Wonderful stay in the jungle

The house was wonderful for our party of 8 (ages ranging from 5 to 72)! We especially loved the pool and seeing wildlife from the yard including squirrel monkeys, howler monkeys, white faced monkeys, toucans, macaws, and even an anteater! Susan, the concierge, was great at helping to coordinate our activities ahead of time and was very responsive during our stay. Andrea, the housekeeper, kept everything feeling fresh and clean during our stay and was very sweet. We also had Chefs Renzo and Roberto prepare dinner for us multiple nights. The food was delicious and they both took very good care of our group, including 2 picky kids. Overall, the house and property exceeded everyone's expectations, and the expectations were pretty high based on the listing!

We had a group ranging from ages 2 to 62. This house was gorgeous and the perfect place to relax after a week in an EcoLodge. The maid service was wonderful. We had a power outage one night and the pool was perfect for a night swim to cool off while we waited for the power to come back on. Book the private chefs!

Great Location, Better House, and The Best Service!

When we first arrived we were greeted by about 100 monkeys that were jumping from tree to tree in the backyard. We grabbed some drinks and lounged in the pool watching them until the sun set and it was amazing. My group cooked a lot of meals at the house because it had pretty much anything that you would need to cook some amazing meals. The supermarket that is nearby is reasonably priced and has a very good selection. The beaches are about a 5 minute drive depending on the traffic and are $6 dollars to park at but there are showers and it is right on the beach, worth it in my opinion. The beds were comfortable, the AC worked really well in the rooms, and the outdoor lounging area was perfect for tanning and reading. The staff (includes a maid and a concierge) was really helpful and always made sure that we had exactly what we needed. The house was very secure and I never felt like myself or my items were ever at risk. Overall, this house was well worth it my opinion and I would highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for a private place to stay in Manuel Antonio.

Amazing!

We had such a great stay at Casa Tranquilidad! The large home was perfect for our family vacation (6 adults/6kids). It easily accommodated our large group and was ideally located for our activities/tours/adventures. Beautiful grounds and home! Susan, the concierge was a tremendous help-setting up tours, and was always available to answer any questions. We would highly recommend doing the private Chef! We were lucky enough to be paired with Chef Roberto! He is a fantastic chef, talented bartender, and overall just a funny/friendly guy! Daily maid service by Andrea made our trip even more enjoyable and stress free! We would definitely love to stay again! Thank you to Host, Scott, for providing such a wonderful place to stay, great staff, assisting us in whatever we needed and communicating so promptly! Made such a memorable vacation for us!

My family of 9 recently rented this beautiful home. It was perfect for our large group. Susan was such a great host. Wonderful home for Celebrating Christmas

We were so thankful to have 2 nights at Scott’s beautiful home. There were 9 of us (2 families) and it was perfect. There was lots of room for everyone to relax. Felt like we were surrounded by nature as we lounged in the pool and on the patio. Susan was a wonderful host. She helped with pre planning our chef dinner and it was amazing. Christmas Holiday at Tranquilidad

Two families of 5 (teens and kids) enjoyed the holidays at this home. Susan was so helpful in getting everything planned out with all of our excursions before we go, and all of them were a great time (rafting, ADR, fishing). We had great time on the water catching marlin, sailfish and mahi - a definite success. We used the chef 4 nights at the home and it was a definite treat - great food and we didn't have to lift a finger. definitely use the chef when booking here - you won't regret it - wonderful flavor and creativity and he is as charming as can be. Apparently there is a grocer in town with the best beer & wine selection - get that info from Susan so you know where to buy if that matters to you. The house was clean, plenty of space for 2 families of 5, lots of space to spread out. We saw birds and monkeys galor - lots of wildlife to enjoy at this property nestled in the rain forest.

Beautiful house and property. 1 mile from the main road on a steep hill which can get slippery when it rains. Safe and quiet neighborhood and great communication with the concierge Susan before and during the trip. The available meals through the chef Renzo were great and we also booked a jet ski tour and massages through Susan. The rooms and beds were comfortable and the pools and game/entertainment room were great. The only minor downside that we had was the balcony pool/tub wasn't heated so it was a little too chilly to use at night. We would happily stay at this house again if returning to the area.

Great place even if it rains!

Had a wonderful stay at Casa Tranquilidad. Location was the only slight drawback as we had a van and the road was slippery, but the house was perfect for 3 couples. Chef Renzo was awesome, spider monkeys right outside the villa to watch, local restaurants fantastic. Tours, etc made our first visit perfect! Thanks to Susan for all her help and to Nadrea who picked up after us. Loved it!

A Perfect Stay!

The house and adjoining guest house was absolutely perfect for our large group of friends and two teenagers. Everyone had plenty of privacy, yet so many places to gather we hardly used them all. The property was clean due to Andrea's daily diligence (though you hardly knew she was there). Air conditioning in each bedroom made sleeping each night peaceful, and the pool and outdoor space was ideal for us all to have fun between activities. The décor was lovely and the furnishing and fixtures of excellent quality. It was a perfect location for launching on various adventures, and close enough to shopping, restaurants and the beach that the teenagers had the time of their lives being independent. Check out the nearby Brise Elegante sailboat cruise -- it was the highlight of our group's visit. Susan's patient communication helped us plan and promptly addressed any needs, and Renzo's excellent meal preparation (and cleanup afterwards!) made traveling with a large group stress free. One thing to note is that although the chef accepts either US dollars or colones, there will be about a 10% exchange rate charge to use USD. So I recommend using the local bank to get or exchange cash (you must bring your passport to the bank to do so.)

Nicest property Ive ever stayed. This is what all short term rentals should strive to be. Amazing!

What can I say other than this place was amazing!!! I wish I would have booked this property for the entire time we were in Costa Rica. We tried to extend our stay more time but no surprise it was already booked. We LOVED this place and hope to return soon. The property was awesome and the pool was amazing. There was a maid on hand every day and the property manager came to the property when we checked in and showed us around the property. This is what great customer service looks like. Anytime I stay at a short term rental for the rest of my life we will compare it to staying here. Nice job!!! I applaud the property owner for his attention to detail, customer service, and the quality of the property. Well Done!!

A MUST STAY!!

Our family has stayed in Manuel Antonio multiple times and this is the first time we have rented a home. Casa Tranquilidad was a GAME CHANGER! Susan was such a pleasure to work with. She was on site when we arrived and was always so easy to get a hold of if we had any questions! Our driver forgot to stop at the store on the way in to the home for essential groceries, but Susan took it upon herself to have Andrea bring in groceries for us that first morning. With two younger children, we felt that was absolutely above and beyond!! Andrea was a DREAM! Our laundry was done each day, folded and put onto our beds and the house was always extremely clean. Andrea was a PLEASURE to have around during the day. The location was very secluded and we saw so much wildlife each day while sitting on the upper deck of the home. There home was so spacious giving our family tons of room. The kitchen is beautiful and made it so easy for cooking meals in, which is something that we haven't been able to experience in our past visits to Manuel Antonio. Our kids had the best time and our family CANNOT wait to stay here again or possibly try another of Scott's properties.... A BIG THANK YOU for such a wonderful experience! PURA VIDA!
