We had a very long travel day (2 days actually) so we sadly slept through breakfast both days. Property is very well maintained and clean. We would have liked more pillows but I’m sure we could have had them if we asked. Overall a great spot! We thought it was better than expected for the price. 」

「This is an amazing ecolodge that offers the opportunity of seeing wildlife using the trail starting directly from the hotel. The food is very fresh and clearly very locally sourced. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s located in a quiet area far from Arenal. Highly recommended. 」

「We loved staying at the Hotel Boutique Casa Del Rio. The staff was extremely gracious and helpful. Everyone we met seemed happy to work there. Our room, tucked away in a lovely oasis-like environment, was very clean and comfortable. I loved the grounds and the restaurant. And we got to see howler monkeys along the river!」

「Mario was a great bird guide, but the tour was only on the property. It would be nice to have night tours and birding trips off the property. The internet service could have been better. The food was good, and the staff was helpful.」

「We had the room with the private pool this time, and let me tell you it was gorgeous!! The pool could use a little updating, but the property is under new ownership and they are renovating everything. When we got there we were told they were giving us a free tour at the hanging bridges… we’ve been to La Fortuna many times, but had never done this activity. This is a DO NOT MISS location! We saw so many birds, a coati, 5 different eyelash vipers, blue jean frogs, etc. I highly recommend...
