If you love nature, this is the place to stay. We spent every morning and evening watching an amazing array of birds with beautiful views of the volcano in the background. The cabins were clean and comfortable, the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was wonderfully relaxing. The grounds have a wide variety of fruit and flowering trees. Simply amazing.

The parking was easy, the site is beautiful, you even have a forest trail that you can walk directly from the Hotel site. Everything was super comfortable and clean. And the staff from the coffee were exceptional. I will come back if I am in Costa Rica without hesitation

This was a magical place to stay at, besides the easy check in and the super friendly staff, there were 2 furry greeters named Roxy and Moly that we had a chance to meet and of which made are stay even better. Our room was comfortable, private and a little slice of paradise. I wish we could have stayed all week.

The lodge is in a beautiful forested area with lots of birds, quaint cabins and friendly staff. My main suggestion is that there are small improvements to customer service that could be made to really improve the experience. For example, I arrived at night and had to walk with my bags on the mud and stone street in the pouring rain without any light to find my cabin. Unfortunately I broke the wheels on my suitcase. It would have been good to have someone help me to go to the room (such as drive the 2 mins using a car or golf cart). Similarly, I took a taxi back to the hotel to eat at the restaurant one night but it was closed and I had to taxi back to town (no communication that it would be closed that day or any day). Would still recommend the lodge, had a lovely experience but think there could be some improvements made.

Large, clean room. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker and coffee and all the dishes needed to eat in. Several choices for breakfast and they were good. Restaurant on site that was busy for dinner. Friendly staff. Beautiful grounds with lots of birds and a great volcano view. Quick drives to town, coffee and chocolate tours, waterfall, hot springs and grocery stores. Great place for a couple of nights or longer.

Very close to the tour meet up location through Red Lava Tours. Drivable to dinner spots but quiet enough to see so much wildlife around the property! Our tours were early so we couldn’t try breakfast that started at 7 or 7:30. Room was clean and perfect for what we needed. LOVED sitting out on the balcony while we were there

Love to stay there. Every morning we woke up hearing birds chirping, followed by great breakfast specially the orange juice they serve was beyond our expectations. Their restaurant was a great spot too, we loved their Christmas special meals.

Hotel was really nice and quite. It was away from the town but if you have a car, then no issues. Uber pickup was just 5 mins away if needed. We could see the Mountain right from our room in the morning. Hotel staff were really nice and accommodating.
