“Very convenient location, just 2 blocks from the bus terminal and the main square. Walking distance to everything in Baños.The room was nice and well equipped. They have a very large terrace on the roof. The owner is also a tour guife so he can arrange rafting and other tours, they also have bicycles to rend. The family who takes care of this hotel is super nice. I got bitten by a dog in Baños and they took me to the nearby hospital and waited for me to be treated. A very big thanks!”

“Our stay at Turismo Comunitario Las Esperanza was unforgettable thanks to the incredible location, the incredibly kind hosts, and the unique opportunity to share some time with members of an indigenous community. We stayed in the traditional choza which was large, clean and comfortable. The food (dinner and breakfast) was delicious and well prepared. “I was warmly welcomed upon arrival. Smiles were abundant. I was shown around the property coffee and water available and beautiful areas to enjoy and relax My room was immaculate, the bathroom had all new and modern toilet sink, and shower. Along with an abundance of HOT water. Breakfast at the little restaurant next door was fresh and YUMMY. If I ever find myself in Ecuador again, Riobamba, I will stay at Hotel Montecarlo Riobamba again. ”

“It's a hostel, not a hotel, so if your expectations are set appropriately, this is a superb find. A bit out of town - 15 mins walk downhill into town and a $1.50 taxi ride home - but nestled at the foot of the mountains. So much nicer than the hundreds of hostels surrounded by karaoke bars near the bus station in town. Run by the nicest, most obliging family. A fabulous breakfast included. Recommended most highly.”
