Clean & Safe Rental Properties: Keeping our vacation homes sparkling clean is a top priority for us here at Morton & Furbish Vacation Rentals. All properties are cleaned, sanitized & disinfected before guests check-in with products proven to eliminate viruses & bacteria. All linens are laundered at an offsite facility and new linens and towels are brought in for every guest's stay. The entirety of our housekeeping processes meet and exceed all CDC cleaning guidelines. If you have any questions/concerns, please reach out to our office for more information.

For your convenience: Our housekeepers will leave a check in packet with area information for you at the property. Also included at the rental are paper products, trash bags, dish soap and hand soap. Guests are asked to bring their own toiletries for their stay.

Snowmobile Access: Leave the driveway and go left to the end of Winston Road. Turn left onto Overlook Road and follow for 0.4 miles. Turn right onto The Loop Road. Stay straight on The Loop Road and you will come to the snowmobile trail.
NO LAKE IS EVER "SAFE"!
Please do not attempt to walk, ski or ride snowmobiles on the lakes unless you are absolutely sure that the ice conditions will support you and your equipment. Rangeley has plenty of trails on land for snowmobiling, skiing, snowshoeing and walking. If you must ride on the lakes, please use caution.

This vacation rental is currently for sale through our real estate agency. If the new owners decide not to rent, we will offer a comparable rental in place of this one or offer a full refund. While staying at the property, guests must be willing to allow a brief showing by a licensed real estate agent if one is requested. If a showing does occur during your stay, you'll receive a $100 gift card to a local restaurant so you can enjoy lunch in town while the showing takes place! Great Views

Great view of the lake. Place was clean and spacious. Everything was in nice condition. We brought our own bedding with us, but did not need it. The supplied bedding was of adequate quality unlike so many other places we have stayed.

Cabin With A View

May 11 - May 18 2024 The Cabin With A View is aptly named! It sits above Rangeley Lake with lovely views. The cabin is very well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. Very cozy and comfortable! We were able to have our dog with us which was an added plus. It is easy to get to - just outside of town. We had great meals (dinner & breakfast) at the Rangeley Inn. I highly recommend this cabin - we will definitely be returning.

More than a view.....

Cabin is in a great location and is spacious. We had everything we needed and the description online is accurate. The deer in the backyard and surrounding neighborhood were a special treat (they really like your apple tree). Thanks for a wonderful few days.

Peaceful and Perfect Getaway!

We've stayed in Rangeley before but this was our first stay at Cabin with a View. Everything, from requesting the rental to driving away when we were done, was perfect. We had all of the information we needed before having to ask for it. The cabin was SO CLEAN! Like, not a speck of dust or crumb in sight! That alone made us feel very comfortable and welcomed. The cabin had most essentials, though it could certainly use some wine glasses and some kid sized glasses/plastic cups. There were only coffee mugs and pint glasses. And, a few throw blankets so you could cozy up on the porch would be nice! Otherwise, we were right at home. We saw deer right out the window grazing through the lupines, eagles fly right by the deck, and other critters while in the area. We love Rangeley, and highly recommend the cabin! As do our four legged "kids" that were also allowed there!!

Stay away! At least during the times we want this house. The pictures don’t do it justice. It was lovely inside and a beautiful location. We all thought it was perfect….except perhaps a better grill might be in order. Other than that…five stars for sure.

Great cabin, amazing views! This cabin had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. Morton and Furbish were very responsive, our coffee maker broke our first morning there and they promptly brought us a new one. Great service!

Loved this cabin!! They did provide 2 small fans which was nice I would not have brought my own if I had known Also there are 4 chairs on the deck and 4 chairs by the fire pit. No need to pack extra chairs!! We had 5 teenagers with us and there was plenty of room Great views excellent location close town. Will book this cabin again !!!!

We really enjoyed our stay! We are a family of four - we had plenty of space. Such a great area in Maine - we enjoyed playing outside and returning to the cozy cabin. The kitchen was well equipped. Everything was clean and comfortable. We all agreed that we hope to stay there again.

Beautiful cabin & location with a few small issues

This cabin is lovely & the view is outstanding! A couple points that could use clarification in the listing: 1) There is no bathroom on the 2nd floor (where 2 of the 3 bedrooms are). Instead, it’s located in the basement. Not a horrible issue, but certainly not ideal. 2) The Wifi is dreadfully slow. We disconnected from it and relied on 3G/LTE most of the time. 3) The photos & description don’t accurately reflect that Route 4 runs by little more than 100 yards away just out of view at the end of the property. Again, not awful - but we were not expecting to hear cars and/or logging trucks driving by while trying to enjoy coffee and the view in the mornings. Thankfully, the sound was not loud enough to really keep anyone awake at night. Aside from these things, this was a beautiful property still worthy of 4-5 stars. We also really enjoyed watching the geese & deer enjoying the apple tree in the yard.

I Loved it!

This home is ideal if you enjoy privacy with a view. Ample room. The main floor has an open concept with one bedroom and the main bathroom. Down a flight of stairs another living space with couch, chair another full bathroom, washer dryer and outside access to the fire pit. Top floor 2 bedrooms: one bedroom is set up with 4 twin beds and a crib and the second bedroom with a full bed. The home is pleasantly decorated and very rustic. Nearby you have lake access. Activities near or around the town: hiking trails and if you enjoy water activity there are boat rentals.

Cozy cabin with awesome view

This was the second time my friends and I have stayed at this cabin. The view is gorgeous, the house is clean and comfortable, there's wifi even though the listing says there isn't, and it's a short drive to town. There is designated water access on the other side of Route 4 and the neighborhood is nicely spread out so that there's privacy between houses. There are four twins in one room on the second floor, a double in a separate room, also on the second floor, and another double in a bedroom on the first floor. The walk-out basement has lots of lake-facing windows, a comfy couch that can be used for sleeping, and a full bathroom and washer/dryer. We fit nine adults in the cabin with no trouble.
