"Would not stay here again. Could not find anywhere nearby to get food at all & the hotel had nothing. In the morning I needed to get to the island ferry (my reason for being in Ranong) & again there was no facility to get there. Had to walk a long way with my bag & nearly missed the boat. Much better to stay in Ranong centre & pay more but be able to eat & get to.places. "

"Overall for the price this was a good hotel. Not sure why but there was an alarm going off all night long. I think I will avoid this hotel in the future because of this. I was talking to some locals and they told me that the alarm is going on constantly and the hotel doesn’t fix it."

Hello from Paradise! We have started our little Island Hopping Adventure in the South of Thailand. First stop: Koh Phayam. A quiet Island which still has a true 'in the middle of nowhere' feel to it. I can count the people around me in two hands. Never been to such an empty beach before. It's lovely! Also very pleased with our accommodation: open-air shower and a huge hammock big enough for two on our veranda. Just swam in the ocean for nearly an hour - the water temperature is divine!! Koh Phayam, #Thailand 🇹🇭 is definitely not a victim of “overtourism” - at least, not yet and not during the low season. My #travel buddy and I were there for most of a week and saw maybe five or six other tourists!
