Good price in general but not excitingly good stay

Right by the Muri lagoon, more on the northeast end, easy access to the water especially if you choose a waterfront bungalow. Bus stop right outside the hotel, or you can easily rent a scooter by walking 10min to the Muri night market area. In general good price for everything, maybe not an exciting stay. And the rooms are tidied up every three days, so might have to deal with sands everywhere for everyday during the stay.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It had everything you could need or want. Fantastic location and they had lots of things for everyone to use for example, ocean shoes, snorkels, kayaks just everything to make the stay that bit better. I would definitely stay here again. It was perfect for relaxation.

Awesome stay. Loved the location and that there were kayaks you could use anytime and a small selection of snorkel gear available. Was a quiet and peaceful place to stay with all that we needed.

Best location, great stay, everything you need!

Located at the north end of Muri Beach, the Aroko Bungalows is a great place to stay. Accommodations suit the basic traveler's needs, with comfortable beds, kitchenette, fridge, and deck. Sonny and his wife are excellent hosts, both very friendly and informative about the surrounding area. Since it is located in Muri Beach, it is easy to walk to the local Muri Night Market and a nearby store. We did not rent scooters or cars, but found that walking and the bus (which stops right in front of the Aroko Bungalows) were perfect for what we (2 adults) needed. The price was perfect and it was such a lovely place to stay. The ceiling fan and standing fan were enough to cool us down even on the hot days. We will be back!

Little slice of paradise

The best hospitality, so accommodating and friendly! Our bungalow was perfect, had everything we needed and location was wonderful, far enough away from the busy beaches and crowded resorts, we felt like we were on our own island. Will definitely come back! The sunrise from this location is breathtaking and a treat to wake up to every morning.

When we arrived at the airport we were surprised to find someone there with my name on a sign and transport. However, we didn't book transport as we had rented a car. Upon arriving we had some difficulty accessing our room as the front office isn't staffed after 1pm. There was a guest phone and we were able to call the manager, who immediately asked who was going to pay for the airport taxi, but they arrived within minutes to let us into our room. The view from our room was fantastic. Plenty of peace and quiet, and we felt like we had our own private little cove. The room was lacking as there was no television, the shower head was poor, and there seemed to be an ant problem in the room. However the outdoor space was certainly the highlight. We enjoyed spending our days on the deck and watching the crabs during low tide. This is not really the ideal location for swimming, but it is minutes away from Muri Beach. Staff was friendly and attentive during our stay.

10 days of relaxation by the lagoon. Well serviced, lovely grounds, noisy chickens but fun. Ready for an update but don`t spoil the relaxed feel of the place. Will return.

Loved the position and the great friendly staff. The property does need a refurb but you get what you pay for. It had everything that we wanted/needed but didn't have air con, just a fan. It was easy walking distance to food stores, cafes, restaurants etc.

Friendly and helpful hosts and staff, nothing was a problem. No frills, but was everything we expected and probably the top spot on Raro with lagoon views and views across to the three little islands. Kayaks and snorkelling gear available free of charge. This will be our go-to place for future trips.

If you're expecting something flash this place isn't for you. But if you want a great little bungalow that covers all the basic amenities, has an amazing view, really helpful and friendly staff, and gives you a private slice of paradise then you're sorted

It was walking distance to Muri which was really convenient as there are lots of food options in town and access to nice beaches. The lagoon was beautiful and we were able to use the kayaks onsite to paddle across to an island and nice beach.

Travelling on my own on a strict budget, this place suited me perfectly. Close to Muri Beach and with the local bus stopping out front, and The Moorings Cafe a short walk away, it was so convenient. Clean and comfortable with plenty of hot water for showers, it was self contained and has the loveliest family as hosts, I felt safe and happy. It’s basic with no TV, radio, wifi or pool so total detox for a week. But the setting overlooking Muri Lagoon is perfect. I loved every minute of my stay there and didn’t want to come home.

Good value for money and close to Muir Beach. Nice pleasant grounds and gardens are keep very well. Excellent property but bungalows are showing their age.
