“This was a beautiful piece of property to stay at in the city of Assisi. It was in a location that was very easy to access all the major Catholic holy sites. We took the city bus line up from the train station and were within a manageable walking distance from the bus stop. There are plenty of nice restaurants and cafes near by. A major plus was having the police station just down the block, so we felt extremely safe walking around at night.”

“We spent a very good three nights here. We drove, so Simone’s recommendation of the Saba Matteotti parking was helpful. It’s a 5 min walk downhill (uphill on the way back) to the apartment. He provides an Assisi local tourist card that gives you a couple of euros off the daily rate, so €12 a day. We parked in the open air because we missed the ramp down to the covered areas. There are lifts from those to the centre. (We also turned 50m too early into the bus station and incurred the wrath of……

“L’agriturismo Cuore Verde è un vero e proprio gioiello. Tutto è curato nei minimi dettagli: giardino, piscina, arredi. L’appartamento Ginepro poi, essendo al piano terra, l’abbiamo trovato comodissimo e molto più grande delle aspettative. La proprietaria è una signora molto gentile, presente e attenta. Graditissimi l’olio di loro produzione e le lenticchie trovati in appartamento come omaggio. Sono stati cinque giorni perfetti. Grazie di tutto!”

“If you want a quiet, low key rental villa in Umbria centrally located to Assisi, Spello, Montefalco and Spoleto, this is perfect. Would be nice if there was breakfast on site or Nespresso and pastries at least. But overall, good value and would recommend. The pool is beautiful and walking through the olive groves was great.”

Guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen im Parco di Colfiorito und für Besuche in kleinen Orten wie Gubbio, Assisi, Nocera Umbra, Foligno. Ohne Auto geht es allerdings nicht. “This was a gorgeously renovated ancient residence. It was centrally located, not far from the local bus stop, and steps away from the central piazza (Temple of Minerva). The home had a loft bedroom, a washer, drying rack and fully equipped kitchen. Laura, left a large vase full of lilacs that made the place smell wonderful ! The huge wooden beams, stone floors , & walls, transport you back in time while providing modern conveniences.”

“With its one-meter thick walls, brick arches and wooden beams, terracotta floors and period furniture, this apartment, located in a real medieval tower, also has all the modern conveniences you'll need: washer/dryer, dishwasher, oven, stove, microwave, great shower, etc.. Located midway between the upper and lower parts of the historic center, it served as the perfect launching point to explore all of Spoleto's beauty and charm. “The Spello House was perfect for our family of five! So clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated! Our host, Monica, went above and beyond to welcome us and treated us like family! She stocked the pantry and fridge for us, recommended some amazing places for us to visit and eat at, and set up two excursions for us. She is the best host we have ever had at a rental and Spello House was our favorite place we stayed during our Italian adventures. We hope we get to come back someday!”
