A typical English country pub with a friendly aura, professional staff, spotlessly clean and a good array of beers. We stayed one night, the room was on the smaller size but well equipped. Being a pub bed and breakfast you have to accept noise to eleven but thereafter it was so peaceful until morning chorus. The full English breakfast was delicious and the fish and chips the previous night was also of a high standard. Recommendable.

Great room, Dyson fan worked well during the hot weather. Nice touches of complimentary drink on arrival and fresh milk in the room. Quality and choice of breakfast was superb. Only downside was very strict 3pm check in, and the parking available was very limited

Nice place. Nice bed. Helpful staff. Very nice breakfast included. All I would say is they should invest in a new fan as this was very nosy during the night in the hot weather

Everything that the inn had to offer was amazing. Great service and friendly staff. Excellent breakfasts. Our only one concern was the smokers that were below our room on the patio. They were there both nights until 11pm. Our room windows let the smoke in, so we had to close them and the room got hot and it took a long time for the smell to clear. Lovely setting and we would definitely come again.

The room decor and facilities are excellent, but the room itself is only the size of most single rooms. Its small 4ft 6ins bed has only just enough room to edge around it. There is no wardrobe for clothes.

A lovely well appointed room, albeit very “cosy”, and the bathroom/shower facilities were excellent. A well cooked delicious breakfast was served in the library, and the staff were wonderful throughout, despite being incredibly busy. The only downside for me were the stairs to the rooms, as they are very steep and narrow, but overall we had a very enjoyable stay here.

Wonderful old property, we stayed in our first room for 3 days, the room was very clean but the bathroom was very small with an even smaller shower, the sink was in the room, we had booked a deluxe room but wonder if room 2 actually was one? We stayed in Room No 1, which was an indulgence room on our 4th night which was much better for us, larger bed, which didn't squeak, lovely big bathroom with a huge walk in shower. Breakfast was great, but they ran out of vegetarian sausages on our 2nd morning, also would have been better if breakfast was served until 9.30. We ate at the restaurant 3 times in the afternoon/evening and the food was excellent. The waitress who served us was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, I think her name was Elinor. We will return but only if we can get the bigger room and bathroom again
