During our day, nobody cleaned our room. I requested for baby crib which they placed it, but wasn’t made it when I asked them to send somebody to make the crate. They said you’ll have to do by yourself..

We had an awesome ocean front room with plenty of room, great chairs on the balcony, large bathroom and shower! Would only suggest to the property that they work to create handicap access to the beach.

This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed at this hotel. We booked a room with partial ocean view because there were no ocean view rooms available. When they say partial view, it truly is not partial. Maybe others are different, but we had to lean over the railing and really stretch to see the ocean. I guess it’s better than just looking at the courtyard. The temp in the room was very warm and despite trying to turn the temperature down, it was still warm. We had it set at 60 and it felt like it was at least 75. We should have just called the front desk, but we just survived. We did mention it upon checkout. Also, the radiator was really noisy (I saw this in other reviews). It kept kicking on and off constantly and was very loud. Again, didn’t call the front desk since I figured that it was the way they were based on previous reviews. The front desk staff were great! I wish that I got their names. It was cold out and nobody was on the beach, but I wanted to sit out there and watch and listen to the waves. Thinking that there would be no chance, I asked the front desk if they had chairs that that they rented to guests. She said that they did not, but they did have some beach chairs that previous guests had left behind. So she showed me those and said I could use it the whole time we were there. We requested a late check out and they did accommodate us. I would stay there again, but probably only if I could get an ocean front view (esp since the last one we had seemed bigger).

I have stayed at several hotels in Rehoboth Beach over the years. Decided to give this hotel a try. I will not visit again. There are no amenities offered. The hotel is outdated. The only plus is the room was oceanfront. I requested late check out upon check in, and this was not documented. I confirmed late check out the morning of check out, and was told it was not documented, and not possible. My sister, who was staying with me, addressed the issue with the same front desk personnel, and we were able to get late check out until noon. This was embarrassing. Very poor communication from staff and no amenities. I will continue to visit the Avenue Inn as well as the Belmoor moving forward. The staff respects their guests at these 2 hotels. There is no respect at this hotel. This hotel has nothing going for it other than if a guest chooses to book an oceanfront room. There is no breakfast, cocktail hour, hot tub nor pool. Very poor lighting. The bed is uncomfortable. However, the room was very clean. The location of the hotel is amazing. This hotel can only ride on its name for so long when nothing else is offered.

People who just need beach access this is perfect hotel as right on boardwalk. But other than rooms dont expect anything from hotel. Front staff at checkin was rude.. rooms are basic with very small bathroom. Nothing to do at hotel, not even a decent lobby space where u can sit , lobby was there but small. Only and only for summer. We went in April and was not worth the visit.

We loved the location, and that every room has a view to the beach an ocean. Yes, our stay was before the busy season, but the property was clean, and perfectly maintained. I didn't catch the name of the Day shift Concierge, but In particular, I want to extend praise for his service and hospitality.

Though I booked my room via Expedia to get a more affordable price for myself, I loved the hospitality I received from the staff! Izzy was extremely helpful at check-in. Usually, when I book via third-party sites, the hotel places me in a less desirable room. But Henlopen Hotel did not do that; I received the wonderful suite I reserved. I have already told my friends who are planning to book an oceanfront room at Rehoboth Beach, to make sure they try Henlopen Hotel!

Stayed in the room with a kitchen, which had 2 doors to enter; however one was obstructed. The "kitchen" didn't have working hot water at all. When I notified staff at the desk 2 times, they acted shocked. Based on other reviews this has been reported previously. Wasn't able to check in until after official check in time. Primary room has a keurig and mini-refrigerator, which turned off with the main light switch so there went our leftovers. The room was barely swept; hair that didn't belong to anyone in our party in the bathroom and rug in the kitchen. Food was also left/ not cleaned out of the cabinets. We were there during off-season so perhaps that don't have regular staff, but no hot water made the kitchen feature useless.
