“Victor went above and beyond as our host. Before even checking into the house, he helped set up transportation, rental cars, and a restaurant reservation recommended by him. His house was absolutely beautiful, and he greeted us upon our arrival to show us around the property. Thanks to him, we also had a unique lunch experience at this tavern on our first full day in town. Would reccomend to anyone!”

“If there were a gold medal for Vrbo hosts Francisco and Teresa would be overwhelming favorites. They set a standard we have never experienced in a lifetime of travel. Not only did they help us plan our itinerary they went so far as to meet us at the train station several times to make sure we were heading in the right direction. Their graciousness and hospitality will remain with us forever. And then the property itself. The restoration of a family property since 1680 was stunning. Magnificent……

A big shout out to her neighbor who pitch hit for her When she hurt her leg. It’s very close to the train station maybe five minutes by car and it made the right into Douro very very easy.”

“The location of this villa is ideal if you want to separate yourselves from crowds and drink in nature and peaceful views. An absolutely perfect setting to gather with friends or family and enjoy leisurely meals while overlooking a beautiful valley. I highly recommend this place and the host. “This is an amazing house on an amazing property. The house is well appointed and spacious. The pool is enormous, and overlooks the river. We enjoyed watching the tour boats go up and down the river, and passing the goats and chickens on the road. The host has made it very comfortable. The only downside is it is an extremely twisty and steep road down to the house. But totally worth it for the serenity upon arrival.”

La literie est confortable et il y a tout le nécessaire dans les salles d’eau (produits et linge). La cuisine est bien équipée mais la hotte est un peu basse. “We hebben een hele fijne week gehad in een comfortabel en sfeervol huis. Royaal verblijf op groot perceel grond, prachtige bosrijke en zeer rustige omgeving. Douro ligt ongeveer 500 meter lager, vanuit huis niet zichtbaar. Van zwembad geen gebruik gemaakt, omdat het een behoorlijk stuk afdalen en klimmen was. Dourovallei is prachtig. Veel moois in de omgeving te zien. Auto is een must.”

“It was a great location for our extended family. Miguel provided detailed ideas for areas to explore and we took advantage of a Duoro sunset river cruise that was stunning! The "kids" (11-25) engaged in a ferocious competition including foosball, ping pong and billiards. Swimming pool w salt water was refreshing (though slightly dirty), grounds with multiple fruit trees were fun to explore. AC was not functioning in one room and suboptimal in another, AC repair was unsuccessful, but fans were……

“Muy linda la propiedad pero me pareció que todo los precios estaban exorbitantemente caros y no hay ninguna actividad cerca. Nos hubiera gustado hacer el tour en barco, pero costaba como 850 euros un viaje corto por el río en el bote pequeño y1500 en el bote más moderno. No entendí los precios.”
