The hotel was in the middle of downtown, and it was very easily accessible to many major attractions in Reykjavik. Parking was an issue, however. Each day, we had to drive around the local streets to find parking P2 parking was difficult to find. The hotel itself was very comfortable.

Hotel was in a great location. Close to restaurants , shopping and attractions. Staff was extremely helpful. they did everything they could to make our stay a good one... Even storing our luggage upon returning after our cruise so we could walk around.

When we arrived, we were shown to a room that was not in the main part of the hotel with a view of a rooftop. The room had been made up with a single bed even though I specifically booked a room with two beds. The Front Desk, when asked to make a change, initially stated I had requested “a king bed” when I had not. After several minutes of scrambling they finally called Housekeeping to come separate the beds into singles. The Housekeeping staff was polite, efficient and quickly accomplished the task. Front Desk staff made this seem to be much more of problem than it was.

I would category this as a beautiful historical luxury hotel with all of the modern conveniences. We stayed her for 2 days prior to a cruise and would highly recommend this hotel. Staff went out of their way to accommodate any questions or requests to make our stay comfortable and superb. The location is perfect for lots of historical sites, retail, and shopping. Very walkable.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel in the heart if city center. We had a corner room, very spacious. It was overlooking the park so was a bit noisy into the nightime. If quiet is your thing definitely ask for a room at the back. Lots of dining options. The hotel restaurant has somewhat limited hours. Shopping is all around. Easy walks.

Tony at the front desk was amazing. He helped me book the tours. Very friendly and professional. Raina and Tanya were super helpful in answering our questions and recommending places to eat.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of the City Center old town Reykjavik. The historic building is stunning, the rooms spacious & conformable with all the extra amenities you expect at very high hotels in the US. A huge brunch, heated bathroom floors & towel rack, spa, restaurant & bar. Centrally located to fine dining, all the major sites, cool shops, and clubs, highly recommend the Borg for a high-end experience in the heart or Reykjavik.

We have stayed in the Borg many times. It is a well run and well maintained facility. The usual negative is the lack of porter service, but we were helped this time by the General Manager. It would be better if there was a specific porter generally available. The bathrooms are beginning to show signs of wear and could do with a modest renovation.

Unfortunately we've had quite bad experience with this hotel: - no parking options (in spite of Expedia posting information that there is parking for fee) - hotel didn't send beforehand any parking information or other recommendations, parking details can be found only when you checked-in in the brochure which you can get ONLY when scanning QR code in the lift - staff at check-in was rude saying that we should have explore parking options beforehand by ourselves and for my answer that it shouldn't be the case, I've got answer "Whatever' - spa for a fee(!) 2500 isk per room, even simple entry for some basic gym and when I wanted to try it at 9:30am (spa working hours are 9-21) - it was closed and there was nobody there - we've got dining discount coupon which wasn't accepted at the restaurant - room was ok, nothing special, just clean, but windows were in front of several bars/restaurants which were quite noisy at night. In general, wouldn't recommend this place, there are better options in the same area.
