"We are a group of 4 moms who stayed here for one night on a 3-day tour. We arrived after a long day of hiking and site seeing and we pulled up to a beautifully well-kept and modern hotel. We were quite hungry when we arrived and the front desk promptly check us in and called the on-site restaurant to find a time for dinner that worked for us. I would recommend booking a reservation in advance to ensure you’re not stuck since there isn’t really much around there. The rooms were perfect; clean, modern and very comfortable with two single beds that we could easily separate. The blinds were black-out which is super important in the summer months in Iceland. Dinner at the on-site restaurant was absolutely delicious and such a lovely atmosphere. After dinner we went down to the hot tub area and enjoyed a sauna and hot tub. It was just what we needed after a long day. The next morning we enjoyed the buffet breakfast (paid in advance through Expedia) and it was impressive with a large selection of foods, drinks, coffees etc. it was the perfect way to start another long day of exploring! Well worth the money. Highly recommend Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon and would absolutely stay again!"

"Very basic small hotel room. Not much space to put carry on luggage. It would be nice to have at least a mini fridge since there are no stores close, restaurants are expensive so I could put a couple of groceries for next day travel. We had dinner in the restaurant since there is nothing else really close by. It was pretty good. The shower curtain and towels were worn out a bit. Loved watching the sheep outside the window and free coffee/tea in reception area. We didn’t want to pay $24 a person for breakfast but it looked pretty good."
