“It was a great place for our group to gather to watch the eclipse, and then visit with each other afterwards. Very historic house with potential to be even more grand if renovations continue. “The pictures uploaded are either very old, or doctored. Bed sheets had stains on them with black light. Cameras installed throughout the inside of the home. No running water when we arrived. We checked into a motel, and then owner tried to charge me $2000.00 for "water damage", when there was no running water and we never stayed.”

“The property is amazing. Pictures do not do the gardens justice. The visiting horse and friendly cats were a plus. The pool is cloudy and needs more frequent cleaning than the weekly service due to its location under trees. The outdoor furniture also needs cleaning as do the dishes in the house. But you will hardly notice because the gardens are so well maintained and the hot tub works amazing.”

“What a cute place! I really enjoyed staying in Starr Loft. I was in Richmond for just a couple days to graduate, but really enjoyed everything. The loft is lovely and inviting! And the ice cream place on the corner is yummy. Coffee and breakfast at Roscoe’s was a treat!”

“Home was clean and well kept. It would be nice to have lamps and an extra chair in living room. The negative is, I do think paying guest should not be asked to park on the side road and freely allowed to park in front of the home if parking is available, especially for handicapped circumstances, and the fact that street parking is for public use, and your paying guests shouldn't be asked to reserve parking in front of the house we are paying to stay in for the convenience of the neighboring……

“We came into town to participate in a reunion concert at Miami and this was the perfect place! It was far enough away from campus not to hear any partying students, yet close enough to park uptown in 5 minutes. It was exactly as advertised - fully furnished, clean, and even has a hot tub, although we didn't use it. The hosts were available and responsive. No complaints! We will definitely be back for the next time we will be in town.”

“We just stayed for our second time at this home for Mom’s weekend. It’s perfect for several moms. We love the community spaces in this home - perfect for people to sit and catch up. There’s multiple spaces in the home. The rec barn is awesome. Our boys came over for a pizza dinner and enjoyed playing pool and watching the playoffs while the moms chatted.
