Secluded Cabin - 4 miles from Downtown Ouray and Ridgeway
Really nice secluded Cabin - 4 miles from Downtown Ouray and Ridgeway and close to Orvis Hot Springs. We really enjoyed our stay and the stunning mountain view from the bedroom. Host was extremely helpful and informative. We probably will return to the location.

Romantic Getaway
We had a lovely time staying in the cabin. We woke up each morning to turkeys hanging out which was super cute. Its 5 mins from Orvis Hot Springs which is a lovely (nude) hot spring. The property itself has a huge window overlooking the mountains from bed! We loved it. I did not read the description about not having heat LOL but we made due and kept plenty warm with the wood stove. I had too many things plugged in upstairs and the power went out but someone came by in the AM to fix it and it wasn't a big deal to sleep without the TV or lights. Thanks so much for everything! PS: Follow the instructions given by the agency when they reach out. If you go on the VRBO app it will direct you to possibly 3 different addresses that are not the accurate ones. :)

The place was beautiful. Views from the windows and picnic bench were breath taking. Cabin was very cozy. Only noises we could hear were birds. Just the right size for the two of us. Loved seeing the wild turkeys walk by.

OURAY
Second time booking this cabin. If you are going when there is snow on the ground you 100% need 4 wheel drive!!!! They tell you that in the description because it is true. We love the views and the cabin like feeling of this place. Also you may see random wild turkeys.

Quiet with dark skies and great views
Right size for a couple. Natural ventilation of opening and closing windows worked OK for us for some warm August days and cool nights. Worked well as a base for visiting nearby hiking trails by Ouray, Ridgway and Telluride. Did not like the calendar promoting the NRA.

Great location & amazing wildlife
This cabin isn't luxurious by any means, but it was quite nice! Location is very quiet and private, with loads of critters running through the property from time to time: wild turkeys, rabbits, chipmunks, squirrels, deer, etc. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Perfect retreat!
If you're looking for a quiet secluded place to stay near Ouray, this is it! Perfect for my husband & I! We saw wild turkeys every day and many "friendly" chipmunks. I can see how it might be tricky to get to in the winter, but it was a wonderful place to spend a few much needed days away from the hustle and bustle of life!

This cabin is very secluded up a private dirt road with a very short drive to downtown. We saw many wild turkeys and had a cow elk visitor 2 mornings in a row that we could see right out our bedroom window. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay!

Perfect cabin
The cabin was just right for the two of us. Quiet, remote, yet close enough to town. Had all the amenities we wanted. Saw mule deer and wild turkeys on the property.

Simple secluded cabin.
This cabin is small and basic but has everything we needed for 10 days of relaxation. At the end of the road and so very quiet. While lying in bed in the loft you can look at the stars. It was amazing. Loved this retreat.

Perfect
It’s not very big but the cabin was perfect for my son and I. It was very cozy inside with everything we needed. It felt very secluded even though we passed two campers on the driveway to the cabin. There is also another cabin near by. You can’t see any of those when you are at the cabin. It’s super quite too. The view from the bedroom with is just amazing!! You wake up with the sun shining on the top of the mountains and when the sky is clear you can view the stars from your bed. Communication with the host was easy and they responded very quick. I would definitely come back!

Super private cabin with an incredible view.
This cabin is dated but comfortable. Very secluded and private. Nice wood burning fireplace. Bed was comfy. View of the mountains and stars from the bed was amazing. We would book this one again in a heartbeat!

Lovely little cabin
The cabin was clean and easily accessible upon arrival. The large sunflower marker is absolutely necessary to find the place, but it's simple once you spot that. There were enough basic necessities, and plenty of wood available for the fireplace. There was even a bit of birdseed left, which we spread and attracted (and enjoyed watching) chipmunks, a few song birds and an abundance of turkeys. Even a few deer strolled through. The views are lovely and you're very nestled in. A light walk leads to more gorgeous mountain views. It was rustic but still very cozy and comfortable, with appropriate creature comforts. I would happily recommend or stay here again, and it is so close to the little towns, yet you can't see (or really hear) the highway/traffic.

Great place to "work from home"
We live in Houston and, during Covid, he is able to work remotely. Why stay in Houston when he can work from anywhere? This little cabin was fun, charming, practical, and had a solid internet connection so we didn't burn any vacation days to be there. It's convenient to cute Ouray, Ridgeway, and wonderful Orvis hot springs. It had pretty views out the window and, because it is nestled behind a little hill from the highway, it is SUPER quiet. We spent a week and had a great time.

Awesome Mountain Cabin
We really enjoyed our stay at Singer Cabin #2. The bedroom had big enough windows that we could watch the stars at night. Our only complaints are the mattress, which was hard and felt like all springs, and the bugs on the ceiling in the shower. We loved the location and setup of the cabin! It was in the perfect place for us to hit all the trails we wanted to ride our ATV on.

Quaint Mountain Cabin
This cabin was just perfect for our couples getaway. We saw lots of wildlife and had perfect privacy. The cabin had numerous linens available for cold nights and an awesome wood burning stove to keep warm. While this cabin is small and slightly outdated, it is perfectly represented by the listing so you should know if it's not your cup of tea. It was within 20 minutes of Ouray and Ridgeville which includes several activities such as horseback riding, ATV rental, hot springs, etc. Overall, super pleased!!

Disappointing
First, my husband had asked if laundry facilities were located in the cabin, he was advised yes and this was inaccurate. The reason for my poor review was the cleanliness of the cabin. Upon entry I immediately noticed the sofa and kitchen chairs (upholstered) filthy. The kitchen chair looked like it has egg yoke or something from a nose all over it...literally disgusting. At that point I felt the need to clean before we unpacked. The bathroom had large spider webs behind the door. This review site does not provide a link to upload pictures. If the cabin were clean I would not be writing this negative review. We will never stay here again.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review regarding your recent stay. We appreciate you feedback. As noted in the listing there is not on-site laundry at this cabin, there is a shared laundry facility that is available for guest use that is located on the property but is not internal to the cabin. While we've noted this in the description and the listing photos we're sorry that it was unclear at the time of booking. Since your departure we've had the upholstery in the cabin professionally cleaned. Given the rustic nature of this cabin there are at time an occasional spider web. We do our best to address these items during guests departure cleans and arrival checks. We always encourage guests to reach out to us during their stay if they encounter any issues. If you would have contacted us we would have gladly sent someone out to address the spider web and other items as soon as we were notified so you could continue enjoying your vacation.
