「We enjoyed the deck at El Refugio. The beds were also comfortable. Nice location and view of Ensenada. 4 stars on cleanliness because there were a few really dirty spots (top of glass over stove and top of fridge) where a simple damp sponge would have done wonders. Hot water appliance also failed and was tricky to get hot water. But we were able to contact on-site person and owner and everything resolved to our satisfaction (I was able to take a hot shower). 「What a great little spot right in the middle of everything! Literally steps away from just about anything you want. Super clean and comfortable with great staff! Next time we visit we will definitely consider this place! What fell short for us…. No window in our room. Excellent amenities but felt like an “interior cabin” on a cruise ship. That and no outdoor space to relax in other than out front on the sidewalk. All said, one of the nicest places we have stayed in on our travels. 」

「This is an older property. We have been there 2 years ago. The hotel is now totally renovated, furniture bathrooms are upgraded. Hotel was very clean. Nice restaurants are in walking distance. The jotel also has a little breakfast restaurant. We will come here again.」
