The unit itself is spacious with plenty of room to spread out, the views are gorgeous (nothing beats reading out on the balcony while the sun comes up), two serene and refreshing pools, and the location is unbeatable. It is close to everything Playa del Carmen has to offer - amazing food, dive shops, and 5th Avenue - but is still quiet and relaxing. And just a 2-minute walk to the beach club! “We absolutely loved staying at Villas DeRosa!! The owners were so easy going and helpful. They answered questions immediately. Our luggage got lost and Tony called the local airline for us to assist (as we dont speak Spanish). We had the bottom floor that walked out to the beach, which we loved. Plus it kept the unit cool. The AC in the bedroom worked great and we never got hot at night. Housekeeping was impressive too. Clean linens every day and we never had sand on our floors. Appliances in……

“Akumal is a special town that I have visited for over 25 years. This was my first time staying at LaSerina. Such a lovely location. The courtyard gardens are full of beautiful tropical plants, and is beautifully maintained. There is a large lovely pool in the center of this courtyard. The condo was decorated in traditional Mexican decor with lots of nice personal touches. The staff were amazing. Would definitely stay here again.”

“The room was clean and was exactly how it was described. The pictures were accurate. The only issue was the freezer was iced over which was ok because we didn't use it. The fridge was fine for us, we didn't use the microwave or any other appliances. The shower was great, no problem with water temperature or pressure. The view was overlooking the street. “Nice apartment, very clean through the building. Great towel set up and an easy walk to the main commercial (tourist) streetJust 2 small notes of caution1. If you need to park, the app isn't very English friendly2. It is close to some nightclubs so there is going to be some music and revelers but it is manageable”

“There was a big miscommunication with how to gain entry into the condo. It was almost an hour before I gained access. I would look into getting a new shower head and have someone check behind the cleaners. I was washing my dishes and noticed the counter had not been cleaned from when someone spilled coffee so I cleaned that up my self. Everything was ok once I got a direct number to host. ”
