"Breakfast was great. The omlete station was amazing. The staff at the restaurant was super nice. The manager does a supurb job. The evening reception has several mixed drinks you could chose from, beers, wine, and light snacks. The hot tub was nice and hot. The pool was warm. The front staff and house cleaning were accommodating and friendly. The room was clean and large enough to spread out our bags. The location is right above a metro which made travel to the national mall easy. There are several good restaurants within walking distance. Trader joes is in the same building so you can grab snacks for the room. Overall, one of the best hotels Ive stayed in. I would definitely recommend for families. "

"We had a wonderful stay. Room was spacious and clean. Wish the bathroom didn’t have glass window, but we managed okay with the shade. "

"I chose this hotel because it was very convenient due to its proximity to the Chinese Embassy, ​​where I had to go to handle some paperwork. It is an average hotel in fair condition; the rooms are dated—as is the furniture—and the doors are slightly damaged. Some fixtures are old and loose—such as the main door lock—but it wasn't entirely bad. I would give it three stars."

"Unfortunately, my bathroom was dirty. There was no hand soap, and there was hair everywhere--behind the door, in front of the toilet, in front of the tub, etc. I had already unpacked for a 2 week stay in town, or I'd have moved. The hotel did call and offer to clean for me and to move me. I declined again, I had too much to repack."

"For a budget hotel it’s not bad , it’s just shabby. It could definitely use some TLC. The bathroom was worn and chipped in places and old. The bed was clean and comfortable. The air conditioner cover was cracked and broken in spots. The hallway and elevator area was worn and threadbare. The ice machine and vending machines were broken on my floor. The staff was friendly and very helpful. It’s right on the Metro line, with a station 2 blocks away. The National Zoo is 2 stops away. All in all not a bad hotel, just could use some TLC . "

"Room was very cozy but you could tell it's slightly dated. Outlets were a bit finnicky: only 1 of 2 on the nightstand worked but they didn't fit most of our plugs anyway, the ones on the far wall were loose and didn't hold most of our plugs, only half of the ones on the desk worked even with the switch turned on. We made due with what we could. The staff was super sweet about it though. If y'all give them feedback during your stay, they're more than happy to accommodate so be vocal! I ended up speaking up too late and didn't really want to move rooms on our last night. I do wish they had a little downstairs market to spend my food and beverage credit. I could only use it during the restaurant hours which wasn't always the most convenient. At one point, I also asked for where the lobby bathroom was and was steered right into a private event (downstairs) so that was super awkward. We ended up using the one in the restaurant. My husband tried exploring the lobby to see if there was a downstairs market to spend our credit and staff seemed to stop him to ask if they could help so he didn't feel comfortable exploring much further because it made him feel like he wasn't allowed to go that direction. Maybe they were being overly helpful 😅 Love the convenience of the water dispensers though! This feature is so much more important than hotels realize. And the location is top notch. Super easy access to National Mall, Chinatown, etc. Overall, I would 100% be back."

"The good: Location, great staff, big fridge in room that is actually cold! Molton Brown toiletries. Plenty of power sockets built into bedside cabinets and lamps. The not so good: Small room for a deluxe king, felt like it was just a standard room. Dated and a little tired. Limited channels on tv. TV cabinet had broken doors. Shower head small and grubby, low pressure. Plastic disposable cups but no glasses or rigid plastic cups for drinks. Paper cups for coffee machine. Overall it was fine for the price but struggling to demonstrate its 4* status. Oddly called my room offering an upgrade 3 days into my 5 day stay. Nice offer but timed strangely. Would I go back, probably if I got it cheap enough as I used it as a base."

"The gym did not have enough equipment and the equipment that they had was faulty and did not work the treadmill was too loud and clunked the left foot part of the elliptical was shotty. My original room 3 20 had standing water in the tub the bathroom was dirty I was supposed to have two queen rooms for the night however I ended up having to move because I had one Queen room and then one king room they must have oversold the double Queens I will say that Rome was fantastic and helping to organize it but it's still involved having to pack up six people's worth of stuff and bringing it down which was not helpful also breakfast could use some more gluten-free stuff the staff member there was a sweet young lady but I don't know if she understood what I was saying"
