Rooms are a great size and beautifully decorated. It is walking distance to eateries and the river. Property probably needs a freshen up with paint and a few loose floor boards but all in all it is a pleasant place to stay

Located off the main highway through Rockhampton, the hotel is a lovely heritage hotel which has been renovated and well maintained. High ceilings, nice and clean and well priced for Rockhampton I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone who can appreciate an older building. The staff were helpful and there was a security guard on duty overnight so we felt our car would stay safe. The area is still busy with some road noise and near a train yard, but we slept very well in the super comfy HUGE bed. Across the road is the Best Western pub where you can grab a meal until late. I enjoyed my visit.

One unfortunate thing we need to mention, the license plates from our rental vehicle while parked in the properties parking lot. Not the fault of the hotel, just a warning to not leave valuables in your vehicle.

We were on our way from Brisbane to Townsville and wanted a place to rest, the hotel is very nice and the staff were super helpful, but We had two problems, the first one was that the bed was super soft and we couldn’t sleep well, the other was that it is near a train rail and we could hear the sound of train during our sleep!
