We were on our way from Brisbane to Townsville and wanted a place to rest, the hotel is very nice and the staff were super helpful, but We had two problems, the first one was that the bed was super soft and we couldn’t sleep well, the other was that it is near a train rail and we could hear the sound of train during our sleep!

This is a heritage property with vey large high ceiling rooms. We had a king size 4 poster bed and spar in our room. We enjoyed having the extra space. The staff were friendly.

We stayed in the handicap room the shower needs a lot of work water was pooling and flooding close to the door and other areas in the bathroom my partner slipped and almost fell staff was great they got us a squeegee,rubber floor mats and many towels to soak up the water
