"The room was large and clean to begin with. When we book several months in advance we pick hotels specifically with a pool and a hot breakfast. When we arrived we were not told any of the following information. One, the pool was closed for service. We found out, after going to the pool, that is was closed. We learning that this pool closure is scheduled annually around this time and we should have but were not notified that is amenity was not going to be included. Second, we found that the person who comes in a prepares the breakfast had a scheduling issue and could not open the breakfast area until a hour later than normal. This was 40 minutes after we needed to leave forcing us to get breakfast out every morning for another amenity that we paid for and were not notified we would not be getting during our stay. Then, they never once came in and cleaned the room. We got no clean towels or bedding even after requesting. They did come into the room and took the tip after the first night, but did not in any way clean or neaten the room. No discount for these issues was offered. Lastly I booked and paid for this room on a travel site. When checking in they required a credit card which I provided. After checking out I found that they again charged me for the room. It took me multiple calls between the hotel, the travel site, and my credit card to get the charge removed. I will be staying in this area again next year for this event, however, I will not be staying there."
