BEWARE. We had to leave this rental 3 days early because my 2 year old son was bitten by bed bugs and the bites became infected. I had to take him to a local urgent care where he was put on 2 antibiotics. Pest control met us at the house shortly after and confirmed that in fact the house did have bed bugs! My husband also found one crawling on the couch. Even after bringing this evidence to Surf and Sound they shrugged it off as if it was nothing. I’ve reached out since our travels home and still haven’t heard anything. Do not book this home, or with surf and sound. And to add, we checked into this home late because of hurricane Erin. I reached out multiple times leading up to our departure date for a refund because I purchased the travelers insurance that was offered with booking and they wouldn’t budge. They acted as if we should have been waiting on the other side of the bridge for the evacuation notice to be lifted.
