Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Good: We were exhausted from traveling and while they wouldn’t let us check in early, they did give us access to the pool and luggage storage. The luggage porters were very helpful. Later, room service food was excellent and reasonably priced.
Poor: While we were given access to the pool, we had to purchase swim caps and register for the pool. After paying, we found that there was a 45min water aerobics class in the pool so we couldn’t use it anyway. All well and good, but if we had known that, we wouldn’t have paid for the swim caps just to sit there; and also wondered why we weren’t informed of the class since we had to register with a pool attendant in the first place. Later, after waiting in line for over 30min just to check in, we found that our room was lacking. Our bed did not have a flat sheet on it. The door striker was broken and the wood around the door was splintering. The toilet ran all night.
Disclaimer: We did not bother with complaining to staff since we were only there for one night, so they may have remedied some of these things if we had attempted. However, it just didn’t meet our expectations of a Hilton stay and for the price, we were hoping for a nicer stay. Overall, I would only recommend due to the convenience of the location and for a short stay.
