Hotel is on 2nd floor but there is an elevator. Rooms are small as is the bathroom but everything was new and clean. Staff were wonderful and helpful. Good location for walking Rome
Positive: the staff was friendly and helpful. Negative has to do with expectations. I didn't realize this is not a hotel but a guesthouse. No reception at the door we thought we were in the wrong place. We went in and out 3 times not seeing a receding person.Had to go up second floor to register.Advertised as "city view" but all you see is the street and windows of next door building. Breakfast included was a tray with cookies, Nutella (which we don't like), and a bag with croissants.i expected hot coffee and bread served in a dining area. Not a help yourself plate. No drawers for underwear. Staying a week I didn't expect to be using my suitcase as a drawer. Again, staff was attentive. Plugs were not working on the room they came with a solution. Ask for hangers and they supplied them. Also, towels were charged every day and room kept clean though is a bit small.
Nice place, clean, great host, not a hotel though, no lobby or staff 24/7 but they definitely are on top of your needs, well located, longer walk was about 20 min. Friendly Host and newer rooms.
The property was perfect! Not too far from the all the main tourist attractions! Room had a great balcony and the staff was wonderful! We had a third guest and they even pulled out the second bed and had it made for us when we walked in! Check in was simple and felt very safe in the property and around it.
Very nice, new property. Clean, decent size rooms and bathroom. Great bed and pillows. Great location for food and attractions. Forget about parking, walk or cab to location. Excellent family owned restaurants nearby. Real Italian food, not touristy. No beggers!
It was close to the train station and restaurants. Relatively close to central Rome (20ish minute walk). We were expecting a hotel but it was one floor in an historical building. Seemed like it was brand new so everything was very nice. Staff were excellent. They arranged a car to get us to the airport which was appreciated. No complaints.
If I come to Rome again, I will not choose Dolce Vita Suites. It was a clean room and in a nice location, but it is more of an airbnb kind of stay where you have to communicate with the manager/owner via messages. No one greets you upon arrival; instead you get the access code, and you are lucky if it is on time. I asked for an iron and waited two days for it. There was an in-room breakfast, but imagine warm crouisssants sealed in a plastic bag and out on top of the fridge where motor heats them up-- you get warm, wet, smooshy buns in the morning. I asked if we could just have some bread, and the owner said I had to wait gor the housekeeper when she comes after 10 a.m. and tell her that (!). The TV remote wasn't working in the room. The staff was not in the office when we left in the morning, nor when we came back in the later afternoon. We aldo had to pay city tax "by cash only"-- no receipts, no records. Te place was nit worth the price we paid.
Our stay at DolceVitaSuite in Rome was okay but not quite what we expected. The rooms were modern and clean, and the location was excellent, within walking distance of many popular sites. However, we didn’t realize this was more of a “rent-a-room” setup rather than a full-service hotel. There’s no 24-hour front desk, concierge, or typical hotel amenities. The rooms were also not very quiet; we could easily hear noise from the hallway, and the bed was quite stiff. Overall, it had more of a hostel feel than a hotel experience.
When my daughter arrived, I was blown away at how nice and clean our room was... We are visitors from America, and staying at this hotel made me feel right at home. I immediately felt that I was living the Italian lifestyle from the old elevator, yummy Italian breakfast and the beautiful window that opens up to where you could see locals relaxing on their patio. The room was very clean, we had Netflix, an adjustable AC unit, drinks provided with a mini breakfast added to our room daily. We were provided the code to enter the building and a code to enter the hotel floor. All were behind locked doors so I felt safe. The owner was able to get us checked in early. The floors were clean and beautiful. I was very impressed. There was a mini fridge!!!. Give this hotel a chance. I am very picky when it comes to staying in hotels but once you are on the hotel floor, you'll notice that its totally different from the rest of the building.
The AC unit was sooo cold and the shower felt really nice after walking/exploring Rome for hours.
I am now visiting Paris and the hotel we are currently in doesn't have a mini refrigerator, no AC only a fan, the room is hot, the floors/carpet is filthy, the towels are stained, the room is small, you have to ask to borrow an iron, when eating breakfast in the dining area you are asked which room are you in (they want to make sure you have a reservation) its awful and I paid a lot.
So DulceVita is amazing and I will be back :-) They took care of us.
I didn’t like the fact that there is no staff after 3pm

Recomendable !!
