Breakfast delicious. Best cornettos ever! Ask the owner about the history of the hotel. The chandelier is from Venice- glass and very unusual. The real gem is the mosaic that was restored all over the hotel- i believe every floor. Be sure to go to the 4th floor terrace. There's no elevator, but Rome is a walking city, so get used to it. The only issue I had was not being able to turn a fan on, but the room was cool and comfortable. If you want to try something worthwhile and see mosaics you've probably never seen before, then I highly recommend Hotel Celio. It's close to the coliseum, a little market, great food everywhere and most of all, a very sincere welcome. Grazie mille

Excellent location for most of the central attractions in Rome as most of them are walkable. Hotel is really clean and the mosaics on the floors and walls are stunning. This was our second stay at this hotel and would defo consider it again for whenever we go back. The hotel owners as generally onsite who are super friendly, and keen to help with any questions and local advice as well.

This feels like a cozy boutique hotel where the front desk already knows your name. It’s wonderfully located and full of character. The staff were friendly and helpful from beginning to end. My room was small, but it had AC and plenty of charm. The only downside is the lack of an elevator, if you have mobility issues, this might not be the best fit. Otherwise, the staff were great about helping with luggage. I highly recommend this place and would happily return.

We are so happy we booked here. The staff was so helpful and always happy to see us. The rooms are a bit small but they are clean, well maintained, and cozy. We loved being so close to the Collesseum and the metro. We had no problems getting anywhere fast and without needing a taxi or tour. We traveled with an infant and always felt safe and cared for. And again, the staff is seriously the best!!

Celio is within walking distance of the colosseum - and that’s its highlight. The entire hotel has an ancient roman decor and is part of the whole vibe of the city. The staff are kind and helpful. The breakfast is also unfortunately for us, very much Italian (read : spartan). Not their fault but we just happen to enjoy big hearty breakfasts.

This gem of a hotel is right by the Colosseum and Roman Forum but doesn’t feel touristy. Lots of quality restaurants nearby, from small take away pizza to Michelin star Aroma. We were never disappointed. Our room was lovely on the first floor. We never heard street noises and just a little bit of hallway sounds. The morning breakfast was a nice treat to start the day in a quaint basement area. We loved all the art, mosaic tiles in the flooring, and helpful staff. Only thing of note is that you cannot control the air conditioning from the room, which some days we wished we could from being out in the hot weather all day. Otherwise, a great hotel in a favorable location. oseum

Small hotel unique hotel and clean, room was small but with a nice old style to it, bathroom could have been bigger, there was a stocked mini bar, 2 good restraunts right by the hotel and more around the block, colosseum a couple blocks away, street aree could be cleaner, still a nice little place to stay.
