If you have never been to Rome as an American you need to be aware that the hotels are not like the cookie cutter hotels in the USA. Many hotels here occupy a floor of and old apartment building. Don't worry about old...everything in Rome is old. This hotel is plenty nice enough, but not exactly richly decorated. Comfortable...it has a nice minisplit AC unit in the room that is not powered by the room key. what this means is if it is crazy hot outside you can keep your room cool so you can feel blessed relief when you return. Overall, I would stay in this hotel again.

The room was lovely the only problem was the noise from the Irish Pub below which lasted on the Saturday night until 2am. The breakfast was served round the corner at another hotel due to maintenance but that wasnt a problem.

Hotel; Staff on check in were lovely, didn’t really see anyone else after this and had to walk around to their sister hotel to check out at 7.30am. This is also where you would need to walk to if you required a breakfast, there’s absolutely no facilities within the ‘hotel’ itself. Bathroom was a little grubby in areas (particularly the shower base) and the shower leaked with temperature changed during showering (going really cold and then really hot throughout). No in room facilities (tea/coffee etc) was a little disappointing but my fault for not looking into this prior to booking. Location was good, a little bit of a walk to the main sights but a little quieter on the street below as a result. As it isn’t what I would traditionally view as a hotel, it did feel a little unsafe at times coming in the main front door from the street, there was, at times, a couple of random men sitting on the stairs smoking making us 2 females feel a little uneasy as there was no door staff or check in staff around. Unfortunately I wouldn’t choose to stay here again nor would I recommend it but thank you for hosting my first time in Rome.

This hotel needs serious renovations and better, more through cleaning practices. We booked for 2 nights. We couldn't even stay for 2 hours. We are exploring options to get our money back. The hotel management has no sense of decency or propriety because even if we booked a non refundable room, the condition of the room was so bad, we certainly could not stay here and be comfortable. We had to leave. The right thing to do is to refund the guest. Even 1 star for this property would be entirely too generous. Overpriced. The bathroom is moldy. The mattress is among the hardest at any property we have booked. The a.c. was npt working. It is shocking that anyone would give this place a positive review.
