This place was straight out of the 50s. They reported they had a balcony. It was just a window. I tried openening the window and it was falling out almost on me. The elevator can only hold 2 small people and it's a death trap. It was cheap and there are no amenities. If you just want a bed to sleep in then this is the place. Anything else do not stay here.

The very best part about this hotel is the location. It is right by the Vatican and very convenient. It’s a historic building so the hotel is older as well - this is definitely not a modern chain hotel experience. But it was cool, clean & comfortable in the Rome summer and a good value as well.

The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was a bonus. The room was ok. It could use deep cleaning as there were dirt, an old sock and dust under the fridge. The location was very close to the Vatican which was great. Public transport was accessibly convenient. We were not fans of the elevator. Sometimes it worked if closed properly, sometimes it didn’t and you had to walk a flight of steps. It was an interesting stay.
