“Not the fault of the facility, lightning had destroyed the elevator control council and the Ice machine on our floor. I am 76 with bad arthritis and don't do stairs well, but there were no rooms available on the first floor. When we got to our room, the toilet would not stop running. The handle sticks down, and I had to bend the float rod to get it to stop running. Had to lift the handle after that. The air conditioner was very loud when the compressor kicked in. “Nice ambiance (rustic/deer camp) and a decent breakfast. Didn't serve meats (sausage/bacon) every day. WiFi was very spotty, which was quite inconvenient. No towel bar in the bathroom, which meant we had to get fresh towels from the desk everyday (who likes using cold, wet towels a second day?) The Illinois river is quite close which is very nice if you like a good view and the smell of dead carp.
