Your stay was definitely in an unusually hot moment in Rome this summer, and it is definitely true that summers are getting hotter. We agree that Air Conditioning is a necessity and that is now under research, so we hope to have it next summer. They do treat for mosquitoes, but they are stubborn creatures.
