Einfach empfehlenswert

This was our second time staying here. The location is steps away from St. Peter's and the Vatican Museums. Our room was well appointed. The walls are a bit thin, so bring earplugs. The breakfast had many choices and was very nice. The staff was friendly and professional. In particular, Eileen at the reception desk provided lots of information and answered any questions we had.

We had a great stay at Palazzo Cardinal Cesi. The only real drawback was the bathroom. It was exceptionally tight, and the shower was tiny, which made moving around pretty awkward. That aside, breakfast was solid, and the location cannot be beaten, sitting just steps away from St. Peter’s Square. Overall, it was a comfortable, positive experience, and we’d happily recommend it.

The location close to St Peter’s Basilica and 10 mins walk from the metro is fantastic. The courtyard is very pretty, a little oasis, if only the chairs were more comfortable. The man that checked us in explained about the history of the palacio; an incredibly charming and personable man. The breakfast is ok; an option of healthier cereal would be great. There is some noise at night, particularly the Saturday night, I would imagine that’s the case across central Rome. I don’t understand why the hotel gives plastic bottles of water every day, it’s a terrible waste and unsustainable, especially as most of the cities drinking water is from aquifers.

As the hotel is surrounded by Street Vendors, tourist traps, and price gouging restaurants, the hotel is huge with enough empty space for a rooftop pool, a gym, a restaurant and bar, a library, a business center, and Room Service but they don't. On a shoe string budget I would get investors or sell the place so they could really make this Paradise. I will not visit in the summer again, there are no social activities, and it's over priced
