The space itself was very nice! Comfy bed, had all the amenities we needed, AC worked well. Our only struggle was the check in process. I’d been messaging the host through WhatsApp and was given the option to pay the city tax in person when I got to the location. I decided to do this, but (we later learned) that meant our virtual check in was not complete. Therefore upon arrival we still didn’t have any instructions on how to actually get into the building and our room.
Thankfully by chance we met the host at the front door as she was leaving, so she helped us get inside and squared away. Without her though we would have really struggled to check in. Also, the website that allows you to open the front door and your apartment door will only work after check in time (2pm). So showing up early means you’ll have to wait outside until then.
Great stay! Just make sure to complete your check in ahead of time.
I had a lovely stay here! It’s pretty expensive, but that’s everywhere in the city. The room was beautiful, spacious, and tidy. Bathroom squeaky clean and comfortable. My room came with the open windows and it was a really nice vibe.
My only complaint is getting in and out. You need your phone to get into the main gates, then again into your building, then again into the apartment, then again into your room. A couple times I had to beg a bar to let me charge my phone or I wouldn’t have been able to get back at night. Same when I’d randomly lose connection. Too many times I had to loiter in front of the building before I’d be able to get in.
It’s not a huge deal but it’s good to know before arriving. Otherwise, my stay was very enjoyable and the staff was super helpful.
Overall, the apartment was good. We found it tricky to gain entry into the building and unit doors. The links and videos provided are helpful but they were sent months prior to our stay and I had forgotten about them. If you book the place, take extra time to familiarize yourself with the entry methods prior. We tried to call the host but wasn't able to connect with them in a helpful way.
