Cute 4 bed 2 bath cottage, short walk to shared road end dock.

This cabin is available year long -

Welcome Boaters, Vacationers, Hunters, Skiers, Relaxers & Snowmobilers!!!

4 bed 2 bath family cottage, 3 min walk to the beautiful Higgins Lake with community dock. newly redone fire pit, large yard, plenty of out door seating on the large deck, nice and quiet area. 6 mile drive to the Silver Dollar Bar and Grill. 5 mile drive to the public boat launch with plenty of parking. There is no boat mooring at the road end doc. Our place is not a party house, it for people to hang out and have fun. We ask that quiet time is 10 on week days and 11 on weekends. We have neighbors that have been there for along time and as our guests we ask that you to respect them. Public areas like the dock need to be repected and know that its used by many and many houses are around. Please refrain from using cursewords , there are kids around.

Extra lot to park all trailers (Boat & Snowmobile)

We had a great stay at this nice house! Lots of kitchen items. The only odd thing for us was that they did not provide towels and traveling from AZ, we had to buy towels and pack them to return home. Something we have not experienced before.

I used 'waterfront' in the search criteria so that I could check out a place where we could anchor our boat during summer vacation. This property has limited 'lake access' but is not a boat-friendly waterfront property.

We used this house as our home base for the Halloween weekend at Higgins State Park where my son was staying with his family. It was a great relaxing place to come back to after our fun family filled day at the state park. We would love coming back and staying here again as my son frequently stays at the campground with his family.

Staying at the cottage was extremely pleasing. The cottage was just perfect, like Goldilocks, not too big, not too small, but just right. The proximity and access to Higgins Lake was again just right. On the morning of our departure, we were already discussing our return visit. All in all, Jillian and the cottage were perfect! Lots of room, comfortable beds, very clean, alot of outside seating, and very nice burn pit, very close and easy walk to the lake, very quiet neighborhood, made for great early morning and evening walks with our dog, had everything we would have needed in the kitchen, centrally located so was able to visit other cities within 1.5 hour drive, cannot say enough nice things about this cottage

Our family had a great time for a long weekend at the cottage. We did some kayaking on the Ausable River, fishing on the lake and spent lots of time around the fire pit. The house had a few quirks, but that is just a function of being an older house. It was very well maintained and clean and had plenty of beds for our extended family to sleep in. The owner provided clear instructions and was prompt with communication and responding to questions.

The cottage ..

3 senior ladies.. we enjoyed the cottage..had breakfast in.. lunch either took orpur food for picnic at beach or ate out in Sutton bay. Only thing the ladies asked me to mention was the rugs in kitchen & bedroom next to bathroom…. The rugs are a Slip / trip hazard and we moved them during the stay & put them back. A rug is nice but one with rubber back that is stable would work better. we enjoyed it.. mah Jongg every night & the cottage stayed cool as it sits in the shade .

Lots of room at Higgins Lake

The cottage is roomy with plenty of space for a group/family. Clean and comfortable, central air for the hot days. A large enough deck for sitting and eating. A great fire ring for gatherings. The lake is clean, clear and sandy! Can’t beat it!

Great house near Higgins lake

This is a nice 4 bedroom house walkable to Higgins lake. It is in a very quiet neighborhood. It has amazing water pressure in the showers. There is plenty of room for large groups. There is a large fire pit with plenty of seating. Firewood not supplied but you can buy it for 6 a bundle. No bath or hand towels. Shallow water for quite a ways out but very clear. Overall great place to stay.
