Summary:
Escape to Lakeside Gem, a stylish Rotorua holiday home just moments from the lake. Enjoy stunning views from the two-story home's decks, perfect for relaxing. With three bedrooms, including a master with a King bed, and two pull-out couches, there's plenty of space. Enjoy amenities like a fully equipped kitchen, BBQ, and the convenience of free parking. Explore nearby attractions like the Polynesian Spa and Te Puia.

The Space:
Experience the perfect Rotorua getaway in this two-story house, designed for comfort and convenience. The main living area features a heat pump, ensuring a cozy atmosphere year-round. Each bedroom is equipped with additional heaters for warmth in winter and fans for summer comfort. Enjoy outdoor living on both the garden level and the second-story deck, complete with stunning lake views. Located just a 10-minute drive from the city center, this home offers a peaceful retreat close to Rotorua's shops, restaurants, and attractions.

Guest Access:
You will have access to the whole property, including the garage to park your car and garden. Free parking on the street also. The house is alarmed for security and comes fully furnished with linen and towels and all kitchen equipment as well as wifi, washer/dryer, air conditioning, heating and two Smart TV's. 2 kayaks and lifejackets are provided for the adventurous.

The Neighborhood:
Ngongotaha is a quiet suburb of Rotorua just 8km from city centre. It has its own medical centre, pharmacy, mini supermarket, petrol station and other shops. An easy 5 min drive away are lots of takeaway shops and a large Countdown supermarket as well as the tourist attractions of the Agrodome, Zorb, Rainbow Springs, Gondola and Luge.

Getting Around:
Getting around is easy, with a bus stop located just 200 meters from the house providing direct access to the city center. Buses run every half hour, and the fare is around $2 NZD per ride, payable in cash on the bus. We also offer free parking on site and street parking if you have a car.

We're available by phone, message or email during your stay. If you need personal assistance, we can stop in so just let us know.

We ubered from the airport which was an easy process. We had to take two cars for the four of us with our luggage. The drivers are friends. We arranged for them to take us back to the airport ahead of time. So helpful. We love the lockbox system. It makes entry so convenient.We were mesmerized by the beautiful lake view, all times of the day. The unit had all we needed and the neighborhood was very beautiful and quiet. My only suggestion is to put usable seating on the balcony. Just four individual chairs would allow people to sit out and enjoy the sunrise and sunset. The existing table and benches are not very functional. Our only regret is not staying longer.

Spacious home with lake views-mostly great

We had a wonderful family stay in this spacious home, enjoying the multiple rooms and lovely lake views (though not directly on the lakefront). The fast internet was a bonus, and the games provided kept our kids entertained. The rooms were decent-sized with comfy beds.However, there were some areas for improvement. The lack of air conditioning in the bedrooms was noticeable, and we spotted mould, and cobwebs. The extractor fans and faucets in the bathrooms were also quite noisy and could be heard from the 2 bedrooms.Despite these issues, we appreciated the home's amenities and would consider staying here again. With some maintenance and upkeep, this property could truly shine.

Beautiful lake views

We were more than pleased when we arrived at the house! The views of the lake are amazing and the close proximity to walking paths and fishing was an added bonus! The host went above and beyond with providing the home with all the basic necessities and even offered to replenish during our stay if needed. Our only complaint is that there was no proper aircon in the bedrooms and it did get a bit hot at times.

The property was fantastic! Very clean and well maintained with everything needed for an extended stay. The layout was perfect for two couples or a large family! It was easy to get to main attractions and Eat Street at night for a meal. It had a secure garage for the car and easy access to the lake. Awesome accommodation and would definitely stay again. Had a pleasant stay and property was clean. Fast internet. Had games to keep kids entertained. Decent sized rooms with comfy beds. Cons: - Found the layout a bit odd (living room upstairs, bedrooms downstairs) - Dishwasher tablet compartment was broken - A/C only in main living area. Had to use fans for bedrooms as it was hot. - The detergent compartment in washing machine was a bit dirty. - Ensuite was tiny :|

Excellent location

My family loved staying at this home. Excellent location on the east side of the lake for easy access to all the family activities. Great view of the lake. Two living areas upstairs so the kids could watch tv in one room while the adults were in the kitchen/dining/living. Downstairs rooms with bunk beds for the kids and master with ensuite were fantastic. We will be coming back. Highly recommend!

Good property however needs a deep clean. Mould on aluminium joinery, cobwebs, general dust. Ensuite very small!! Extractor fans in bathrooms noisy and ineffective.

Lovely new home right near the lakefront. The house was really well laid out and easy to find and access. House was really clean and tidy and the beds were all super comfy to sleep in including the bunk beds.
