Um 1085, zur Zeit der Klostergründung durch Herzog Welf I wurde bereits eine romanische, dreischiffige Basilika mit Querschiff und Flachdach errichtet. Die architektonischen Proportionen sind Gotisch. Im Innenraum verschmelzen die Stilrichtungen des Rokoko, der Gotik und der Romantik. "Excellent Hotel. Highly recommend. Staff were all wonderful. Rooms were large and modern and the facilities were superb. Beautiful swimming pool and Great Spa and Sauna Area. Towels and Robes provided. Breakfast had lots of variety . There is also a refreshment area where they provide self service Hot or Soft drinks all day with a seating area. 10 minute walk into town, but there are plenty of good resturants and Bars nearby also. Excellent value for money Hotel. It was so relaxing we booked to stay extra nights. Will definatly be back. If Staying in Garmish this is definatly the place to be. ++++ "
