The staff was some of the best we have ever had! Each of them were so kind and helpful. Loved the Balbi restaurant around the corner for breakfast. Loved the golf cart pick with our luggage. Our room was so clean and decorated with modern features. It had everything we needed, I wanted to stay longer. The location is a 3 minute walk to the central plaza of Rovinj. The staff was helpful in restaurant recommendations and reservations. LOVED the Melegran!
Our room was well equipped with everything! Including beach towels and bag. Even some items in the mini fridge. The room was very clean and the bathroom was spacious with a fantastic shower! While the hotel is very close (2-6 minutes from everything), it was quiet from street noise. I couldn’t have picked a better location. We parked at a nearby lot and the staff brought us to/from our car, via golf cart, before/after our stay. Overall, the staff made all the difference. So warm and friendly, with great suggestions on restaurants and a trip to Culvi beach - which was beautiful!
This very small hotel was in the heart of the beautiful town of Rovinj. The staff were great, helping us with a golf cart from bus and to ferry and carrying luggage up the two flights. The room was very small though well equipped. The air conditioning was marginal.
Perfectly located in the heart of old town - rooms are on the smaller side, but this boutique hotel is otherwise finished to a high standard and offers everything you need for a weeks stay in beautiful Rovinj!
Wonderful place to stay. Would highly recommend! The food options, the bar options and the room were incredible. The staff and housekeeping are amazing!
First, the positives. The breakfast which is 50 yards away down the street was just fantastic, they couldn’t do enough for us and the choice was phenomenal. The bed was very comfy, very clean, no issues. The receptionist was friendly and we did get help with the luggage up the narrow steep stairs. However ……
The overall impression of our Room 6 in this small hotel in the lovely narrow alleys of Rovinj is one of being designed by a fashion house rather than people who understand the needs of travellers. We were told on check in that we had been upgraded (I had booked the room described as Deluxe Double Room, at over £200 a night); it turned out to be on the third floor, no lifts, and very small. The bathroom sink is ill equipped for use because of the fixed tap location, but looked very chic; the deep bath had a shower in it, but to use it needs to be hand held, as there’s nowhere to put it on the wall. The modern lighting system needs an IT professional to operate it. See photos!
Worst of all, however, was that the obvious connecting door to Room 7, opposite, presumably for potential family use, was paper thin, we could clearly hear the phone call of the American man to report the loss of his credit card to his US bank at after midnight and we were lucky there wasn’t a lot more “activity” next door. Completely unacceptable. My advice - avoid Rooms 6 and 7 at all costs! When we gave feedback we were told we hadn’t had an upgrade, and that only Rooms 6 & 7 are linked.
We loved staying at The Melegran... an amazing boutique hotel which made the stay in Rovinj feel really special. Really excellent room and location is brilliant, right in the centre. Great personal shuttle service from their car park outside the city boundary too.
Everything was perfect. The hotel met our car and took us to the parking lot then drove us right to the door of the hotel and took our luggage to our room. Same thing when we left. The room was beautiful and a perfect location. Great staff.
Wonderful room in a quaint part of town. It's in a walking zone, so you'll have to park outside the area and take their golf cart in, but it's well worth it. Staff was very kind and professional. Highly recommend!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Melegran! The staff are incredible, and it was nice to have the golf cart to take us with our bags to and from our car. We chose Rovinj As a central location to visit ancient sites in Pula and Porec. I can’t recommend Rovinj highly enough! It is a beautiful small town with friendly people and the sea there is great!
This was a jewel of a property with one of the best staffs we have met. Large charming room that was quiet and the area was central to everything. This will be a place you return to again and again. I know we will!
