Disliked: Cleanliness
The room was very dated and just basic - nothing to rave about. The sliding patio mesh door was absolutely filthy.
However, the buffet breakfast was the best we've ever had. So much variety and very fresh produce - and catered for every dietary requirement. Location is great.
Breakfast was great, room excellent and large.
Only criticism is the on site restaurant is closed on Tuesdays so, as we did not have a car, and were unable to arrange a taxi, nobody answered the local firms phone!, to get into the local town, we were left with the adjacent Golf Club.
Maybe the hotel should arrange a shuttle service, even at set times, into the local town, Tarunda.
Beautiful location among the gum trees and creek. Lovely restaurant and bar area. The room had a great layout and deck for a drink at night with the wine you’ve purchased! Central to everything.
Great get away location. Rooms pretty average but comfortable. Plenty of little insects in the rooms, but spray provided. Dinner was very nice, but a bit of messing around booking into the restaurant. Overall a little on the pricey side but would do it again.
Great place to relax at or have it as a base to go do wine tours

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
We loved staying in this spacious room which was a little more than a standard hotel room as we had a mini fridge, coffee machine, toaster and basic kitchen stuff. It meant breakfast in the room was easy so we could get out quickly to explore Barossa each morning. The bed was super comfortable and the views from the room was stunning. The addition of free wine tasting was a bonus.
Only tiny little negative was the room could do with a spring clean. Crumbs and dust in drawers from previous guest and what looked like blood on the sheer curtain. Otherwise we loved it and would definitely stay again
Beautiful location, lovely rooms. From within the room you can often hear other doors closing and a lot of people traffic going to and from car park. But overall the perfect spot to stay, close to local towns, golf course and spa on site.
Great for a family as it is somewhat self contained (kitchenette with sink, fridge & microwave). Bed was comfortable. We didn’t get to use the swimming pool but it looked nice & spacious. Good location & easy drive to most wineries.
