「The stay was fine, the price was perfect, the place just needs a renovation. It's the only hotel/motel in town and it's a college town, so I would think you want to be a nice place to stay. It worked for what we needed, the staff was great. The big complaint i have was the pull out couch/bed was broken.」

「Staff was friendly and the room was spacious and clean. BIG drawbacks were the front doors have no automation- not sure how that is ADA compliant. Have to try to hold them open and drag luggage through two sets of doors. Next, there is not an elevator. I had to drag two suitcases, my briefcase and purse up the stairs to the second floor. Fortunately, I can make a few trips and successfully do this, but it would not be safe for someone with issues with balance or strength.」

「The first disappointment was how close by the road was.It makes sense for an old hotel, but I found the constant noise and traffic unpleasant and certainly for sitting on the verandah. Also no breakfast is served which is mentioned on website though it definitely was not happening. And lastly I found it tacky to demand a dollar each for drinks in the beverage area.If it costs that much they could incorporate it in the room charge. It just seems unwelcoming」

「We loved our stay! The location was clean and as described. Communication with the owner was easy without issue. We will definitely stay again if our travels take us in that direction.」

「A unique redo of a one room school house. Top amenities and facilities. As two retired teachers, and married for 52 years, we really enjoyed the experience.」

「Second time to choose this place」

「Austin was a great host: friendly, outgoing and very knowledgeable! His facility is extremely well maintained and his waffles alone are worth the trip! We'll be back!」

「Property was as advertised. Affordable, clean and well stocked with the essentials. We were in town to visit the Baseball HOF and need a 2-night stay. We were all satisfied with the property.」

「Great accommodations for any getaway. There is enough to do right at the Pulpit House, you don't even need to plan other entertainment. Our family has stayed in many VRBO rentals and this is by far our favorite, just because of the convenience and atmosphere. There is dining and a small convenience store in very short walking distance, as well as a park for children. We highly recommend a stay here, and plan to return.」

「Perfect stay near family. We were able to stay 2 lovely nights in this beautiful home. Comfortable double bed with washer and dryer. King size bed in the master. Upstairs and downstairs bathroom was convenient.」

「Very comfortable and clean.」
