“A well aged puzzle piece bach, in NZ forest, tucked down a dead end road. Surprising amount of traffic on the road during our stay. Neighbours were quite noisy also but the bach had everything we needed. Hot water for a shower was a bonus. The old Shacklock range is prone to smoking out the bach but I think we figured it out after a few days. Reliable cell service is back at the Orwell Creek Road turnoff, for those wondering. For a last minute booking, it worked out well and appreciate the good……

“This property is NOT currently in service - it is still under construction - it has no power, no sewage - its is not currently finished, has no formal infrastructure, and does not have a permit to operate from the local council. This venue is NOT supposed to be taking bookings. The owner of the property (not the provider) was immensely helpful and embarrassed by this event occurring. Unable to stay at the venue - address incorrect, and buildings under construction - had to find alternative……

“After a manic couple of weeks navigating Christmas and a large family wedding 'Auroras Landing' was the perfect escape. Perched above the lake it offered beautiful views, quirky, yet well appointed and comfortable accommodation, and easy access to the varied activities Lake Brunner has to offer. We took advantage of the new lake cycle track ( still being built) and the proximity to the West Coast Wilderness Trail. There were beautiful walking tracks nearby - the Arnold Dam track was an easy……
