“The house was warm & cozy, bed super comfortable. Very cute historic home, we enjoyed our stay!”

“We had an amazing time on the trip! The host was amazing with communication and answering any questions that came up. The caboose itself was super comfortable and spacious. We really appreciated the pet friendly aspect and our dog had a wonderful time on the property!”

“Clean and perfect location. Hot tub and message chair were great! ”

“Chris was awesome love the place!! Great and clean!!”

“This property continually canceled my booking for no real reason. They said my card was not going through, but all my other bookings went through on my same card with no problem. I tried to book this house three times and every time Expedia would say I still had the booking so I would go to check in and the property management company would say that they emailed me to let me know the booking was 😡 This was a huge inconvenience and left me with no where to stay twice on my trip. I finally just……

“Check in was easy, the beds were comfortable, and there was good off street parking. It's a fine choice if there are three or fewer people in your group and you don't want to go with a hotel. Some things I wish I had realized ahead of time: There are only three comfortable places to sit in the living room, a loveseat and an armchair. If you have more than three people, the others will have to sit on a backless metal barstool or the floor. The house is cooled by two small window units neither of……

“We went to Jeff City for a weekend trip and this place was perfect! It's the perfect location to walk anywhere you want and perfect for the Penitentiary if it's on your list. The place was clean and had everything we needed! AGAIN, it was perfect! The host was very responsive and helpful with any questions I had! Would stay here again.”

“It was overall a great experience for the whole family.”

“What winery?! We did not visit nor have any winery experience. ”

“Best little wilderness stay I think I've ever had.....secluded from traffic....no city noise....host were very kind and sociable....planning on going there again and again”

“A phenomenal stay. Great atmosphere; a truly unique experience with the artwork as well as tongue-in-cheek names for the spaces. By far our favorite spot during our week-long travels across Missouri. Great location. An amazing house - a historic home in every sense of the word; and the best value of any place we stayed. Coupled with exceptional places to eat or have a drink within walking distance, and even more within a 2-mile drive, staying at the Big House made Jefferson City our……

“We enjoyed the cabin very much. The one exception was the road in and out of the property. I reported it to the call center as impassable. I incurred damage to my vehicle due to the poor condition of the road. This while crawling up the road no more than a few miles per hour. Totally unacceptable. The call center was rude and at times not understandable due to very heavy foreign accents. I was wondering who owns the road? Is it private? County owned? All questions asked the call center who……

“Very friendly and helpful”

“It was the best relaxing weekend I had had and quite a while you could not have asked for a better host. She was there step-by-step with everything you needed. I would highly recommend this place to anybody.”

“Awesome property a little steep to and from lake but not a problem”

“Great location. Adorable place. Full amenities. Would highly recommend.”
