Turn to “pilot” for hall heater and turn fireplace logs OFF in winter; turn off lights and TV. Make sure all major appliances are turned off; you can leave an A/C unit on in hot summer.
Put keys back in the key box. Message owner to let them know you have checked out so housekeeping can clean.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

The home was easy access and great location close to Rutherfordton. Very clean, comfortable and quiet. We liked the small fenced in area in the back yard for our small dogs to run around. We would stay again if we are back in the area.

Cozy Stay

A wonderfully warm and comfortable home.

This home offers a perfect getaway for a family, with or without pets. Check-in was easy, communication was excellent,and the home was warm, clean and inviting. The kitchen was well stocked with coffee, tea, and everything you could possibly need. Comfortable beds and plenty of linens are provided. I highly recommend and hope to return soon.

Great place to stay

The property was beautiful and on good days we could even see the mountains in the background. The antiques in the property were lovely and the house was very clean and spacious. We enjoyed the town of Rutherfordton even if it was small. The shops were fun and the food was good. Over all we had a great vacation in a wonderful location.

Walk Back in Time

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was chocked full of antiques and art. Ben and Lori stayed in contact but there were no issues to resolve. Just a very pleasant stay.

Beautiful Respite

My daughter and I came up for the weekend to go to the Dirty Dancing Festival at the lake and we had a great time! The house was immaculate and very cozy! We stayed in the king bed room and the bed was very comfortable. Ben & Lori allow pets which was great and they are easy to communicate with about your stay. We will definitely be back!

The BEST home away from home!!!

Lori and Ben made us feel right at home from the second we walked into their extremely welcoming home. We loved the unique decor and artifacts! We were sorry we were on such a short visit. Hopefully we'll be able to return to the area someday and stay longer!! Thank you Lori and Ben!!

Quaint and Comfortable

The home is very well decorated with artwork and older wood furnishings. It had a real sense of peace and quiet. The view of the mountains from the backyard was beautiful. The King bed was cozy. It is well stocked with the essentials and more.

Lovely house

The house we stayed in was very clean and spacious. Big family room and kitchen and dining area. There are 4 window ac units that kept the house cool in 100 degree weather in July! I would recommend this house if you’re looking for a place to stay close to Tryon.

Perfect Getaway

Ben and Lori were fantastic hosts. The house is exactly as described. Lots of space! It was comfortable and VERY clean. Appreciated the treats and snacks provided by Ben and a Lori. I highly recommend their house.
