This cabin is cozy, it is remodeled, clean, and nice but a couple important details are left out of the description. If it weren’t for these issues it would get a 5 out of 5. First, This is a two cabin house. There is a separate cabin below you and you’re likely to be above someone. I was a little alarmed to hear noises come from below my space late at night only to realize that it wasn’t storage below me. It’s someone checking in late at night. I stayed 4 nights and the second day a very angry looking woman appeared looking at me. I smiled and said hello and she just walked away. I think she was having the same experience as I was, she didn’t know someone would be above her. I didn’t see her again. Second, this is on a property right next to someone’s house. Like literally, 25 feel away. The people that live there were outside and talked to me. And talked to me about politics. I wanted alone time and privacy… a mini retreat for myself. So unfortunately because of these issues it only gets a 3 out of 5. Had I known it was next to someone’s house and that I couldn’t sit outside and be alone, I wouldn’t have booked it. That isn’t necessarily the owners fault, but maybe it should be disclosed somehow in the description. Another option Is to hang outdoor curtains on the patio and porch facing the house next to you? Just a thought. Also, Asheville is an hour away, I don’t know that I would call that close, but maybe I should have checked GPS before I booked. Again, it is a great cabin and it’s clean, well taken care of, so if you need to be in this area and don’t mind the neighbors, it’s probably a good option for you.
