Family vacation

The home is beautiful is just as described. We had an absolutely wonderful time! Enjoyed the heated pool, fishing, hiking, playing pong pong and pool and relaxing. Lots of spots to sit and relax.

Amazing Weekend

Our family got together for a long weekend and couldn't get enough of this property. It was so peaceful to be that far off the beaten path, but have all the amenities of this awesome house. The kids loved the pool and game room and adults loved being able to hike and enjoy the many outdoor seating areas. This place is truly a hidden Gem!!

Fairytale

This place was beyond comfortable it was luxurious! I could not have asked for a better getaway spot. It’s secluded and beautiful, the house was so clean and accommodating. The pool with the waterfall and the hot tub was like a private resort. There’s plenty of lounging porches and fireplaces and even a fire pit. My friends and I are already planning to return. Thank you so much!

A perfect place to celebrate my son’s 13th birthday. The pool and rec room were so much fun. The setting is beautiful. Everyone slept great in the comfortable beds. Thanks for the wonderful memories! We’ll be back. :)

Perfect off grid wooded homestead with creek

Second time our family enjoyed this location. Of course the indoor pool with waterfall and sauna was a hit. We loved the fireplaces both gas and wood burning. The large kitchen was perfect for many adults to work in together at the same time-one of our family pleasures. Loved having a pool table, ping pong table and foosball table to use. It is a Hidden Cove “gem”

Early Mountain Christmas

Amazing adventure for 7 adults. Everything was beautiful and spacious. It was as if we came across an abandoned resort! Stunning grotto pool with waterfall, large hot tub, and large game room. Infinite number of private areas to relax. Wood and gas burning fireplaces. Will definitely come back!

Spectacular pool and privacy!

My husband & I spent 5 days at this property and had an amazing time. It was a lot of house for two people but we enjoyed the privacy. The pool is amazing! We also enjoyed all the outdoor seating on the porches. We like to hike so exploring the 360+ acres was great. Although we didn't even scratch the surface. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook with. We would love to go back again.

Simply Amazing!

Family Get Together

This was an amazing place to gather our family for a late Christmas celebration. Family came from as far away as California and as close as Fairview. We had so much fun swimming, hiking, playing basketball and pool. The indoor pool was spectacular and very comfortable, even in February! We all decided it would be fun to come back in the spring or fall.

The home was what I’ve imagined as my dream home.

Two days wasn’t enough time to enjoy the entire home. The house is spacious and beautiful. The inside heated pool/waterfall, balconies with fireplaces, and being secluded by nature was everyone’s favorite part of our stay. The river/creek was amazing, but we didn’t have enough time to experience the outdoors as much as I would’ve liked to. This is now my favorite location-best rental I’ve ever stayed at!

Beautiful home in the mountains.

The home is beautiful, nicely furnished and plenty of space for hanging out. The pool was enjoyed by most of our group. It was nice having washers/dryers and 2 kitchens. I liked hearing the water flowing in the stream and enjoyed walking the property near the house. Really does need a land line since WiFi and cell service was non existent. We were not able to reach guest services. That’s why 4 stars.

50th anniversary celebration

12 of us total stayed here - we were all delighted by the house itself, the pool, the landscape, the river, the rural privacy. It was was beautiful! The only reason we gave "cleanliness" a 4/5 was there were dead bugs and cobwebs EVERYWHERE around and on the outdoor seating areas, (wasp nests too!), and dirty sheets in one of the bedrooms. We just tossed those in the wash, and tried to wipe down the seating areas and all was well! Would definitely come back.

Lived up to billing

Reading all the previous comments about this house we were eagerly looking forward to our visit. A group of 11 were blown away by the property. Immaculately cleaned, beautifully furnished, the river, and of course, the amazing pool solarium all added to a fantastic vacation. We have no negative comments about the property other than the WiFi which is totally understandable due to the house being so remote. It will definitely be hard to beat this house in the future. We would wholeheartedly recommend this house to anyone.

This place is out of a movie

It’s obviously was built buy someone that planned to use it. The pool is obviously one part that makes this place stand out but there are so many great outdoor seating areas and porches. The river is right there and we kayaked two days, shallow water in places but a fun time. The only thing I think is missing is a larger table to accommodate the size of a crowd the house can. We made due with the seats at the island and wasn’t a big deal. The pool table, ping pong and foosball ad to the lack of need to leave. We will be going back!

Truly a hidden cove

This is a magical home. Beautifully decorated and built. The indoor pool is not only an amenity but also a work of art. The home is off the grid but still has decent WiFi, might be a tad sketchy and not support heavy streaming but still had plenty of connection. I was more interested in connecting with nature. There’s a ton of hiking, kayaking, swimming, and basketball to keep one entertained. The home was very clean and large grounds impressively maintained. The home also had games, ping pong table, and a pool table. The home has good fully functional kitchens. But if you do want to eat out, eat local in Rutherfordton. Such as the copper penny grill. We also went disc golfing at Christian camp. Zip lining at The Gorge. Lake Lure is only 20 minutes and very beautiful but go to Rutherfordton for restaurants. We hope to visit again and bring our family. We very much appreciate the homeowners for sharing.
