"There was some sort of mix up at check in and the place was not ready but the host made it right by letting us checkout later. The space is a little cramped to sleep 8. There were 2 full beds, 1 queen bed and air mattress. Overall the place worked out great for what we needed and the host was very accommodating with the late check in."

"We enjoyed our time at this property. There are several positive qualities. 1) The open concept on the main level is great for a large group. 2) The beds were very comfortable. 3) The kitchen was well-equipped. 4) The location is perfect in proximity to everything needed. 5) Parking space is more than generour for multiple vehicles. Generally speaking, the house checked all the boxes we needed. There are also some needs for improvement. 1) The keypad on the front door is challenging. It took me numerous attempts to gain entrance to the house. 2) The front storm door is VERY difficult to open. Everyone in our group struggled with it. 3) The house could be cleaner. The lights in the basement ceiling are full of dead bugs and the basement smells a bit musty. 4) We were a bit short on towels...especially dishtowels in the kitchen. There were only 3 and not a single dishcloth. 5) There was no extra bedding to accommodate someone sleeping on a sofa. None of these things was a deal-breaker to our enjoyment. However, these things are noticeable and the door was a real pain! My family comes each summer for this same weekend. I will likely not book this property again."

"Wow! Beautiful surprise. Comfortable beds and great air conditioning. It was over 100 degrees outside during our stay and the place was so comfortable. We grilled and prepared breakfasts. The eggs, zucchini, and cookies were the sweetest touch. We even enjoyed listening to the storms roll through during the night. Loved our stay!"

"This property was excellent for our large family. There were plenty of beds and bathrooms. The kitchen was big and had modern appliances. The refrigerator was large and there was a second full size refrigerator in the garage. We also rented the 2 lofts above the garage and the family members who stayed in them said they were great! The view was stunning overlooking the 18th hole of the golf course and then the lake beyond that is beautiful. There is a beach nearby which will be perfect when water levels are higher.The owners Terry and his wife were so very helpful and a delight to talk to. If you have any questions they welcome it.Our family with 14 adults, UNANIMOUSLY said they want to come back again, saying it's the best place we've stayed in 6 years where we have made Lake McConaughy our family reunion meeting place."
