Character Beamed Country Retreat with self check in/out in historic 1066 country

With self check in and check out and situated in the owners’ stunning 2 acre grounds which includes an orchard that guests can enjoy on their own, this attractive beamed, spacious detached character property is perfect for a relaxing break. The property is accessed via its own external oak open tread stairs. We have fibre broadband with the Little Brook WiFi router connected directly to it. It is wonderfully finished with a recently refurbished balcony off the living area affording countryside views and conveniently set back from the A28. There are many country walks directly from the property, several fine pubs are within a 5 - 15 minute drive and beaches are around a 20 minute drive away. Around 20 minutes to Battle, with its famous battlefield and abbey, built to commemorate the Battle of Hastings in 1066. Relive one of the most famous days in history, and join the 1066 walk. Take a trip on the Kent and East Sussex Steam Railway from Tenterden, also known as ’The Jewel of the Weald’, through the Rother Levels to Bodiam, one of the most evocative moated castles (National Trust), built in 1385. Discover the one time coastal smuggling town of Hastings and medieval Cinque Port town of Rye just 8 miles away with its cobbled streets. Picturesque sand dunes and interesting wildlife can be explored at Camber Sands around 30 minutes away.

The property was very clean and tidy. Everything was excellent about the property. Looked out of the French doors on Christmas Eve and the field it looks out on had a herd of reindeer’s running around in it , how festive. Will book this property again, Many Thanks , Wendy& Peter

Perfect out of the way, spacious but cosy property. Even though the weather was incredibly wet and windy, we had a lovely few days- combination of slobbing comfortably and visiting local places of interest!

Lovely cottage with a view

We had a lovely stay at Little Brook, the cottage had a very welcoming feel and the balcony is great for having breakfast with a view. Beautiful countryside, great for cycling. We received clear instructions to find the house and to check in from Janet and Grant, though we'd recommend adding the property on Google Maps to make it even easier.

great stay

I just loved the property, cosy and quiet. Janet and Grant were lovely and helpful. Great location if you want to rest from the noise of the city. Plenty of walks and things to see around the area. We had great weather and so were able to enjoy beautiful starry skies at night-something impossible to see in the city. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely recommend to friends :)

Nice spot in Broadoak

Perfect location in the south Sussex/Kent area of UK- lots of good gardens nearby, and things to do. Cottage was a bit worn (outside steps need replacing to access!), and musty, but neat and tidy otherwise, & nice garden & views; cute friendly dogs too. Very well equipped in the kitchen, including a nice washing machine and espresso maker :-)

Little Brook is a perfect place to stay

We found little brook was perfect exactly as the photos on the website show. The hosts are perfect. friendly and helpful if needed. The place was well equipped and very well presented. We really enjoyed our stay and would fully recommend it. While there we visited Bateman house which was the home to Rudyard Kipling, Camber sands an amazing sandy beach with sand dunes, Bodiham Castle very impressive and Rye Old Town. We also went to the Rye Nature reserve.

Accurate description.

Very accurate description and welcoming hosts. Basically a large bedroom/living room with a downstairs kitchen all in a very nice location. Easy to find (east side A28). To make it easier I used Google Street View and entered the exact location on my Sat Nav.
